Red Red Meat. Hell Yeah!

This would be great because I would be back home in Chicago area from college. But my guess is it won't happen because it has not been posted. But I remember last year, it was the first or second week of October when last year's Thanksgiving shows were announced. So there is hope. But the days of the Vic and other smaller size venues are most likely over because Wilco is very much more notable.

Hey InGlenntion, Didn't I give you "Crazy Rhythms?" And yes, they are very good.
-
Ah, but college students don't have money.

I really have to stay with a buddy of mine in LA when he's playing there because I love his other projects he has done, but I only have the recordings, and have never seen those projects live.

It would be cool if it was Califone because I have been loving there music lately. Plus, they have opened for Wilco in the past. I am also going to the Eagle's Ballroom show too.

The blog is rather interesting.

I have been hearing some good things about the guitarist James Bryant and some of his work with Speedy West. And basically, I am wondering if anyone could recommend albums they play on together or other good albums separate from one another.

Wish I could be there.

I hate to admit, but I have lost faith in The Drive about two years ago. Now I only listen to my CDs because I have basically given up on radio.

It does. Thanks. I will try and tune in.

I just caught this on youtube, and it's pretty funny. I have never really listen to Ryan Adams, which means I can't really give my opinion on him. But I have always enjoyed Jim DeRogatis's writing and talk show on Sound Opinions. So here's the link, but it's only audio since Adams left a voice message on DeRogatis's answering machine.

I would have gone, but I am at Lawrence University.

Is the Cline and G.E. Stinson thing at 8:05 a.m. Saturday Sept. 8 or Sunday Sept. 9?

Nels also has a nice article on his website about all the different amps he uses or how he always borrows an amp for shows. http://nelscline.com/tech.html It's at the bottom of the page, and it's called "Amp Du Jour."

I know Coppola is producing I do believe.

Got to love Kerouac. I am reading The Dharma Bums now, and then most likely Big Sur.

I would say about a hundered or two hundered, but some could have been waiting to see The Ponys because they were next. The crowd was weird because-expect for two people-I was the only one next to the stage. It seemed like people were afraid that the stage would shock them. But all in all, I still enjoyed them, and I hope they play again sometime in Chicago when I am back in town from college.

Yeah, even though I believe in liberal values I find it annoying that they always are so bias a la Fox News.

You forgot the most important hit of them all from the summer of love: Heroin by The Velvet Underground

I entirely agree with the first poster's thoughts. RS is a magazine that lives in the past today in order to make up for their complete ignorance they missed back then.

So I went to West Fest yesterday and saw Califone. They were pretty good, but were not as good as other times I have seen them. The whole band seemed a little weary, but who knows, that was just my observation. But I was really closed to the stage, which allowed me to get a really close view on watching Ben Massarella. Joe Adamik and him were astounding to me because they really thought about the song as a whole rather than adding their own special licks. Moreover, Ben's different uses of objects as percussions was also cool. But from what I remember here are some of the songs they played (n

Yeah, Bob Bruno was pretty awesome.
