  1. No, he thinks anything but "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" is not good by Wilco. I have talked to him personally, and I get the sense from him that he doesn't like the band because of personal hate. It's the same reason he hates other things because of conflicts he has runned into with those other things. I used to enjoy the guy, but I have kind of gotten tired of him. For example, I read a bullentin in which he praised Fall Out Boy (a band that totally sucks and is a horrible verison of 'punk'), but yet he dislikes Wilco. I mean I like the guy, but I disagree with the way he thinks on certain to
  2. "I'm Always In Love" is the first song I heard off of "Summerteeth," and I instantly fell in love with it. To this day, I think it's fantastic pop song, and it's up there in some of my favorite Wilco songs. In short, it's an amazing song. With "ELT" I either like it sometimes or sometimes I don't. But if I had to choose another underrated song off of "Summerteeth," I would have to say "Candyfloss" since it is an unlisted track.
  3. At first, I dislike the song, but it has grown on me like all of SBS has. I hope it gets played live, and I would think "Please Be Patient With Me" would be a great set opener because it would start off with Jeff and then each band member joins in on different parts within the song as it happens on the record.
  4. It would be cool because I just got into Grandaddy on their last album, and was sad to see them break apart. But hopefully, Lytle will start a new project and is feeling better.
  5. Yep, comes out June 26th. I believe I heard The White Stripes's new single-I think it's the title track off of the new album-and it sounds fantastic and weird in the sense that it is different from other White Stripes's songs.

Yeah, here it is a picture someone posted here that I saved.
  7. I went last year to Lolla because the schedule was actually good. This year, there is nothing good on any single day. I was thinking about buying a one day ticket on Saturday, but $80 is way too expensive. Seriously, I am going to three days of Pitchfork, and it cost me $56 with service charges, and sending the tickets.
  8. I've chosen to ignore topics on this thread (obviously until now), but you have a point: they deserve to earn money. Moreover, it's their music, and I could care less of what mediums they chose. However, I am not a big fan (to say the least) of bands airing their music via commericals because I feel songs then become seen as that certain commerical. For example, The Who's "Bargain," is a great song, but when I play it for friends some time, they identify it as that one car commerical. But besides that certain factor, I am still going to love Wilco's music, and a stupid commerical is not g

For Jeff's OD I think for his guitar solos he uses crowther crunes and custard pedal on AGIB. And for Nels, I knows he uses his 59' Fender Jazzmaster (brown/orange color) and I believe another same model expect it's white, and usually uses one of his fender jaguars on "Hummingbird," and on "What Light." He also has a 12-string, but I am unsure of what to define it as.
  10. I tested it out and bought it. I have not given in the full experience yet with my other pedals, but I will tomorrow. Thanks for everyone's help.
  11. I fucking love the ending, but I am a weirdo like that. The only sad thing about the criticism of the song is that people only look at the drone while they forgot how great the first part of the song is such as Jeff's lyrics. They are easily at the top of their game.
  12. "Radio Cure," I always thought it was a very dark song. Also, "Via Chicago" for another dark song. But I do love them both.
  13. Thanks. I'll think I will get because a store I know is having a sale this weekend, and I should get it. Thanks for the demo video, it's pretty sweet, and the other videos on there were cool especially the 16 second digital delay. I still wish I could have gotten that, but I do have the Boss Rx-20 instead.
  14. What's your opinion on them? I am thinking of getting one.
  15. I know a lot people around here like them, but I have never gotten into them. Moreover, I get annoyed by the lead singer's microphone drenched in reverb.
  16. It's a song that has been around for a while, and I know Jeff wrote it for Solomon Burke, but Burke didn't like it. So maybe the reason why it's not on SBS is it's not really meant to be a Wilco song. That's my guess.
  17. Anything off of Loose Fur's debut is fantastic. For Uncle Tupelo, I like: That Year Screen Door New Madrid Wait Up Any of the covers he sings on March Gun And many more that I need to name, but I have to go right now.
  18. Greg Kot mentioned it in his Chicago Tribune article today. Here's the link (It's the second article) and quote: http://leisureblogs.chicagotribune.com/turn_it_up/ "Even Millennium Park, once considered off limits to rock acts, has slowly gotten into the mix. The Decemberists will perform there in July with the Grant Park Orchestra, and Wilco is scheduled to headline the Pritzker Pavilion in September."
  19. Great writing and ideas. As someone mentioned the only wrong with it is a factual mishap that Nels Cline was not on AGIB. He also makes a good point of the band exploisions that are occurring throughout the world and the exposoure all of them are getting via the internet, but the only problem is can they maintain their stand point. I also agree with his take on The Flaming Lips. While I do love seeing them and watching their videos of the stage antics, I can kind of wish the music would not take a drop when playing live. Moreover, last time I looked at their setlists, they always played t
  20. The first concert they played for All Songs Considered is no longer allowed to be heard, I believe. But the one at the Oct 2006 can be listened to.
  21. nice one. I know they perform it at the 9:30 club show in D.C., and it can be found on NPR's website. I always have like their cover of Randy Newman's awesome song.
  22. Who ever said Dave Matthews Band was any good?
