  1. From what I've heard via the message Wilcoworld sent out (I believe it was through that medium but I could be wrong) that they will tour next year, but not as much as this past year. But I'm sure someone will clarify better. So basically keep checking their shows on their website or viachicago.
  2. I just saw this Califone film trailer on youtube. So I figured I would post it here since I know there are a good amount of people that are fans of them here (I have been enjoying them a lot lately). Moreover, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this? Here's the link:
  3. I checked Logan Square's website and the show is all ages. So I am happy, but others might not be. But regardless, I am happy to see Califone, The Sea And Cake, Eleventh Day Dream, and the rest. I do hope that Tortoise does end up playing, but they most likely won't.
  4. So is their in age limit to this show? I mean I am 18, but I am just making sure there is no 21+ rule, which I hate beyond belief. Other than that I hopefully should be there.
  5. I've heard of Sparks via Jim O'Rourke and Thurston Moore saying that they are huge fans of them. I have been meaning to buy an album (I think I am going to buy "Propaganda" first), but usually takes me a while to buy anything.
  6. I was basically wondering if other people could share other places besides amazon to shop for albums online.
  7. good stuff. Thanks for sharing!
  8. Yeah, I want to get "No Pussyfooting."
  9. And it's a fantastic record, and so is the second one. It is worth money to buy it.
  10. I have a Boss RXL-20 (I think that is what it is called, but I am pretty tired). It's cool, and can do some cool stuff on there (my favorite is the reverse button). But I would still rather have an electro-harmonix 16 second digital delay. But I have asked a couple of stores, and they say that is out-of-print.
  11. The best place to check is Kot's book on Wilco. But I have read in interviews and in Kot's book that circa "Being There" and "Summerteeth" he became a very avid reader. Some of the books are: Henry Miller's "Tropic Of Cancer," and "Stand Still Like The Hummingbird." Both are excellent! William H. Gass's "Omensetter's Luck" and "In The Heart Of The Heart Of The Country." I am reading the latter right now. Moreover, a teacher at my old high school recommended "Being Blue" by Gass too. I also think there is John Fante's "Ask The Dust." I'm sure there is more, but that is what I recal
  12. For fuzz, I have two words for you: FUZZ FACTORY!!!!!!!!!!!! It's amazing , and is made by Z. VEX.
  13. I shall keep that in mind. I would buy it soon, but I believe it's about $ 300.
  14. It says it's ready, but nothing is on the screen for me.
  15. I really want to get one of those KAOS pad. I first saw it in then movie, and then learned Nels used it. I believe it's mainly a DJ instrument, but for guitar, I have heard you can do some crazy fucked up things, which interests me.
  16. Yeah, if you check the liner notes of the Loose Fur CDs, you will see pictures of the instruments they are playing.
  17. Yeah, for the most party (especially during Andrew Bird's set) the sound was shit. But the show was fantastic! That is all.
  18. Last I heard he's doing the exact the same thing as the previous poster has mentioned. His "main thing" is working on movies at least that's what I heard a while back.
  19. Saw this on Pitchfork's news. I am pretty excited to hear that there's a Chicago show. Hopefully, I will be in town. Here's the link: http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/news...box-set-details
  20. Yeah, I listened to that about two weeks ago. Some great stuff there.
