May??? Those of us here in Chicago know all about the Rezko connection. Sadly Hil dragged it out last time out, but someone was going to sometime anyway. Actually she didn't even use the good stuff, she just said something stupid. LouieB

That YouTube thing is funnier than shit...no one is really about change.... I'm not worried. I am only worried that this thing won't go to the convention where at this point it should. I figure at some point Hillary and Barak are going to have to get in a room and flip for who is going to be President and who is going to be VP. That's the only thing that makes sense; for both of them to be on the ticket and go with it. If Obama is VP he could easily be President in four or eight years, but not if both of them tear the shit out of each other now. Meanwhile the Republicans got nothing

Can't the media give this guy his due without comparing him to James Dean? Ridiculous.....he was a good actor in his own right, why keep comparing him to a legend? Stupid........ LouieB

Is this for college or high school? Rock and roll is a 20th century musical form. So is country music, so is art rock, so is "folk music", so is just about every thing we listen to. LouieB

I could have seen them many times, but during those years I was having a couple kids and hadn't ventured out to the rock clubs much. Sad really. I would read the reviews or see the listings in the REader and think, damn I need to go see them, but never did, particularly since Lounge Ax was 20 minutes from my house. LouieB

Four Guitars Live is not for the faint of heart.... I thought New Monastry was quite accessable however in general. LouieB

Perhaps, but this sounds like suicide; Amy is just self destructive in other says.... Sad news all the way around though. Guy was about ready for a big breakthrough. In the Trib it said he hung out in Chicago during the filming of the Batman movie and that his performance was incredible. I have to admit, he didn't make much of an impact on me from I'm Not There. Was he the actor with Charlotte Gainsbourg or what? if so it makes sense since she acted the hell out of all the scenes she was in. After the three major Dylans (Woody, Jude, Billy) the other three all sort of mushed together for

That;s interesting because I have seen Bob Dylan in concert a few times, so I know he exists. I used to work with some handicapped adults and one of them used to talk about there being three Elvis Presleys, one who sang, one who was in movies and one who did concerts. Actually there is plenty of interesting information on the "real" Bob Dylan, some of it even made it into I'm Not There. The rest has been relentlessly chronicaled in bios and articles as well as Dyaln's own book. Sure, every person in the world is a combination of many aspects of their life. LouieB

What are we talking about here...?? I am short and like Wilco, though not a fan of Radiohead and refuse to discuss anything illegal. LouieB

I have been to the one in Schaumberg, but I guess I was unaware there was one in Bollingbrook. There was talk of one being put somewhere on the northside, but it never happened. Guess the other chain stores took up all the real estate. It would have been nice to see one go in on the Elston or Cylbourn corridors somewhere. LouieB

Yea, they should have locked Bobby and Ike in a room and let them have it out.....both were world class assholes who made more history. My son is a chess nerd and yea, it is hard to get him to take a shower sometimes... What do you think Bobby did all those years as a recluse anyway?? LouieB

We're fucked..... LouieB

Those of us who DO live in big cities are also second class citizens......this movie opened at only a few theaters, wasn't heavily promoted and didn't stick around very long...we get the same shit with such movies as Persepolis and Honeydripper which are hardly running anywhere and will probably disappear in a week or so (the Sayles movie is at the Music Box, so you know it will disappear quickly.) And certainly I'm not There is is not a Dylan biography so little will be gained by the casual viewer regarding his actual life. Someone watching the movie who isn't interested in the semiotic

Is there an Ikea IN Chicago now? I only know about the one out by Woodfield. LouieB
