Hey, dude. I was here before...I said you're all hawt.

I understand that we all need to take personal journeys on a spiritual (or whatever) path, but I'd like our search for ultimate truths about things like the origin of the universe to be a collective one. If every theologist or scientist in history ignored the work of his predecessors and tried to figure everything out on his/her own, we'd be even less knowledgeable than we are now about the physical world. Understanding the physical world leads to understanding the seemingly incorporeal world...unusual behavior isn't a demon inside you but perhaps a chemical disruption in the brain, lightening

OMFG, no one reads my posts. I'm quitting the board because no one loves me.

Oh, duh...Screamin' Jay Hawkins. It's right there in his name and everything.
-
He totally looks like the kind of guy who would give that to the reporters as his name just for the lolz.

Lyrically, I like it when I recognize myself in others. Musically, I'm game for so many different things...hand-claps are always a bonus. Edit: Ooooh, according to last.fm, I lean towards dudes. "Why" is a hard question.

Dude, I already said James Brown. Now, I'm totally offended because it looks like you skip over my posts.

The Sonics' "Strychnine" contains some of my favorite classic garage screams. Greg Cartwright gives me the most delightful chills when he wails "Baaaaaaaad man!" And good lord, people...James Brown could certainly scream, couldn't he?! And I love Tweedy's scream with the rest of you. Love a good scream where the voice breaks a bit...hell yes, so visceral.

Awwww. After finally catching up on reading this thread, I was just thinking, "Damn, atheism is so hawt!" It's true.

Aw man, I've always been reasonably comfortable getting naked in medical environments but now I'll be all self conscious knowing the staff is not above judging my nudie appearance as I used to believe they were.

I love The Killing Moon, beyond that I haven't spent much time listening to them. That Killing Moon is such a badass song though, new wave heaven.

That Ferris bit was awesome. There have been so many of those fun little revelations in the book, Disney is another good example. When I come to those, I back up and read them out loud to my partner like, "Ooooh, oooh, listen to this one...! See?! original spray paint! That's just crazy!"

That is freaky, Stooka. She gets bored and looks away if you leave your cursor somewhere for too long. If you pull your cursor to her nose, she looks dead at you, but doesn't hold the gaze long, so you've got to pull it back again and I think it helps if you say out loud, "Look at me! Look at me!!!!" when you do it. Now I'm the creepy one.

I enjoy all of the little bonus historical bits like the AC/DC competition too. There are so many little things like that in the book that make me want to hop on the internet and read more about it, little mini-stories in the big story which are fascinating in their own right. As far as the "could the book be white city without the devil?" discussion goes, I definitely find what I think of as "the Burnham bits" fascinating but I really look forward to when the story goes back to Holmes. I don't usually read true crime or horror/suspense stuff but I'm really compelled by his story and anxiou

Oh yeah! I'd forgotten about that. Soooo icky, and what is he saying in his little kid voice, "I want to play!" or something? That one is awful, sad scary stuff.

Oh, and the answer to this is:" Time Lord, from the planet Gallifrey, in the constellation of Kasterborous, 900 and 3 years old and the man who's gonna save your lives and ALL 6 billion people on the planet below...you got a problem with that?" ...and a he's a little bit foxy.

I made a Tardis t-shirt a couple of nights ago for my little Ten fan. It turned out pretty sweet, so now I've got to make one for myself.

Mine too. Very cute little guy.

Because there are so many of you Chicago folk around these here parts, I thought I'd relay this in case any interested parties didn't already know about it...

I just got around to starting "The Devil in the White City" tonight. Man, it is good. Anyone not already in the book club needs to hop on that shite. It's not too late!

There are times when I don't enjoy her and times when I do. Overall, I prefer when Thurston sings.
