I've neglected to mention that I tend to play The Smiths' "Rubber Ring" twice in a row because it's always just so good I want to hear it over again right away. -

That's a pretty sweet one. -
I've been looking around the internets at stuff about this and I'm not terribly enthused. I'll definitely watch it but I don't think a movie can come anywhere near capturing the whole vibe of the book. From the stills I've seen, they've changed some stuff. I'm thinking of the photo of the semi on the bridge specifically. There should be a trailer on that mofo, no? I know it's inevitable that they change things for the film, but c'mon...that scene is important to me!

Current Obsession - Wilco or Wilco-affiliated

I haven't listened to a Wilco (or related) song in at least two weeks. If I were to listen to one right now, I would choose "Crack a Smile." -
Hinder/Nickelback are definitely worse. The masses listen to some rather artistically meritless rap these days, but even the worst of it is at least reasonably danceable. Those other bands, what I call "generock" are so indistinguishable from one another and boring as hell. I throw up in my mouth a little every time I have to download and burn that crap for my brother. Crapaud, when I was a kid in OKC, everyone was talking about Color Me Badd!

Regarding the debate, "I can't believe you are watching that with your dad." I converted him from McCain to Obama tonight!!!

Oh well, awesomeness fades. INFJ-ness is forever, or something like that.
-
Sweet! The Doctor and I nearly have the same birthday (mine's Nov. 24).
-
So dead wrong. Only an INFP would think something ridiculous like that.
-
INFJ and I'm awesome. Fathead, I remember seeing once that INTJ was very rare but then I read elsewhere that it was like 25% of the population.

Pfft. Vinyl, laser disc...whatevs people. I have clones of the band in a closet and if I want to hear SBS, I just make those summabitches stand in my living room and play it!

are we really going to have to eat squirrel soup?
yermom replied to embiggen's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
When I was reading "The Road," I thought a lot about what'd I'd do if I was in their situation (in a world where food is scarce and people are driven to cannibalism.) I think I could eat someone if I had to. If I died, I'd much rather have my friends and family eat my body than go hungry. I'd definitly eat all of the little grains and bugs and things I could find first though. -
1 vinyl and 2 cds. I bet a lot of people who have the vinyl have both because of the whole buy one get one preorder deal.

Your kids like crack dealers?

My brother lives near him, in that slightly shady neighborhood. He has mentioned the Halloween thing to me before. I should go visit and bring my kid to trick or treat at Wayne's house.
