maybe it's a typo? Otherwise, holy shite.

are we still talking about this?

Searching for a home searching for a home searchin' for a home via Chicago I'm comin' home I'm coming home His voice cracks on the first "I'm comin' home", which adds So much to the song

I love that effing bassline.

Glenn is great. Beauford's good too, but listen to Dave Weckl, he blows him away.

now that is BS. Millions? Yes, but that doesn't go straight to the band. Sound, lighting, roadies, engineers, the record company, touring expenses, and making records are all neccesary and are all expensive. Noone is claiming marketing is an art, but it is a part of music now. Suggesting that Wilco lost any sort of credibilty for putting their songs on VW ads is so insane. So what if they're not your defination of "indie" anymore, they're still a great band just trying to get their music heard.
-
wait, that's not what the songs about?

Ronald Reagan used Bruce's Born in the USA... although Neil's song This Note's For You does show us his opinion.

I saw it for $3.43 in Jersey a few days ago. Back home in suburban MA it's just over $3 a gallon. I remember days before 9/11 gas was 99 cents at a Cumberland Farms near my house...

I honestly didn't think this show was still on. I loved The West Wing, but this one didn't really thrill me.

The only annoying thing about Wilco songs in commercials are these fucking posts.

those were both really great, I can not wait for this tour!

It's gonna be CGI. http://www.slashfilm.com/2007/02/03/ghostb...rs-3-confirmed/

that was pretty cool, I wish Tweedy could've nailed the high scream.

compare Heavy Metal Drummer's second verse with Chinese Apple's.
-
clearly, you are the coolest.

See, I like that about the first two. Either Way has a capo on the fifth fret, which gives it a much tighter tone than the D in You Are My Face, which he uses a typical invesion on. It's really nice.

Well, I've been reading this post for a while, and seeing a lot of different reactions. I personally don't think it's that big of a deal. We're talking about a band who just wants people to hear their music, I say any vehicle to acheive that is a good vehicle.

sounds good. Real good.

Wilco's on the list, Passenger side (what else?) http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/inde...rip-songs-ever/

so I just heard about three songs from Emitt Rhodes. It's amazing stuff, his voice is rather McCartney-esque. It's great stuff. anybody else hear of him?
-
yeah, I love Loose Fur. That album's amazing, their debut was very solid as well.
-
they did Reservations at soundcheck at The Pines last summer. Sounded great, no mp3 though...sorry

"my name's Wilco Worshipper, but you can call me dub-dub."
-
so after a bit of confusion two or three pages back, now I understand everything... YOU're double dubya. See, usually I'm referred to as that, my name's Wayne Whittaker haha.
