there is probably already a topic about this.....but i was wondering if anyone captured the london shows and put them into a lossless audio format to torrent. i am sure if the tracker was back up i would have seen them. i misses the webcasts and i heard the rocked...particularly the second night. spongebob

that is so sexist....i am showing my wilco vagina. outoftune

whenever i hear the tune i wonder what it would have sounded like had solomon burke accepted and recorded this tune jeff wrote for him. probably it would have been some dirty and funky soul. spongebob wilcos version is o.k. my subtle irony is how you say...not so good.

to me the album has a connective musical effect. so to have a phrase repeated makes since to me as repitition makes one more comfortable in ones enviroment(me anyways). in my opinion there is an overall effect of sky blue sky and repitition, musical tone, and comfort are a definate part. spongebob

"time fades away" was reissued by reprise in 1999 on CD. this disk is a live album from the infamous 1973 tour. i think that it is a must have, but i am a diehard neil fan. if you want to hear examples of the tour go to Dime and you will find many shows....but none in my opinion with the sound quality of this disk. crosby and nash guest on a couple tracks. if i had to list my favorite neil albums the list would be as follows: 1. tonights the night 2.everybody knows this is nowhere 3.on the beach 4. after the gold rush 5. harvest 6.time fades away 7. comes a time 8. harvest moon 9. stars a

"sometimes a man will confuse the limitations of his mind for the limitations of the world" just because your honest doesn't mean you are right. in fact i found your comment to be cruel and unnessesary. i would say more if i thought it would change anything. spongebob

you did okay dbag. i just wanted to add that the guitar solo during the middle part of "you are my face" is JT. niles is all over the place...but in my OPINION..he plays more of a supporting role. there are great solos from him on the album(i agree with your comments on "IG"..track 3) but I was impressed with JT's ability to not only hang with niles but to really contribute my favotite guitar moments of the album. i also do not agree about the song writting...it is relaxed and mellow....but in my opinion it is also subtle to the point of a misdirection....almost begining the listener not to

"butt hurt".....is that a play on words or a typo. also, how can someone be hurt about an album. it would seem to me that to be hurt by a record one would have had to had a hand in it's creation, a personal stake. (or i guess it could fall on you). but thats just me... spongebob

I got into UT at 15 in 92 so wilco was a natural progression. Did not see them till 5/1/03 at the orange peel in asheville. So with my wife, brother, his wife and about 500 people i saw what was in my opinion the best concert I have ever seen live. I even got to meet john before the show over beers at the very easily reached bar(which i visited frequntly before the show was over). The other two shows that have been in asheville at the thomas wolfe were great, but they just don't compare. where else can you hear Less then you think, More like the moon, Bob dylans beard, one by one, not for the

with skybluesky clocking in at just over 51 minutes that will be less than 13 minutes per side. instead of a double album the band should make it a one and a half album and leave side four blank. spongebob

its funny you say that sleepingmonkey(about either way)....my wife said the same thing when she heard it. not the words but the music sounds like "the man in me" on dylans "new morning". spongebob

In my mind I think that of the five albums that Jay Bennet was involved with as a member of wilco(being there, summerteeth, and YHF)(as well as the Mermaid Avenue Projects); all had a different feel or "genre" if you will. In fact I credit jay with alot of the ornemental asspects of the music. While jay bennet doesn't play on AGIB I think that Wilco could not have made that record without his influence in the band prior to his departure(putting it nicely). Good and bad influences of course. nobbody is perfect. spongebob
