Hello! Are you from the past? Welcome, Here in the present Don Cab is but a shadow of it's former glory. This could possibly be why they lean so heavily on their catalogue recordings in live shows. Also, the battles Ian Williams is not in Don Cab anymore but was on their good records. The battles are it tho, check out "EP C / B EP" A recent comp of their previous EPs. Super!

Tony Glover, recalls visiting Dylan's apartment in September 1963, where he saw a number of song manuscripts and poems lying on a table. "The Times They Are a-Changin'" had yet to be recorded, but Glover saw its early manuscript. After reading the words "come senators, congressmen, please heed the call", Glover reportedly asked Dylan: "What is this shit, man?", to which Dylan responded, "Well, you know, it seems to be what the people like to hear". Jeff Buckley did a good Strange Fruit. What a powerful song, I dunno if i'd call it a protest song, totally haunting and in-your-face.

I thought this would be about a track I never heard. Shenanagins!

Yeah for the most part I agree with the review. I remember thinking the infanta should have sounded more striking than it did. It seems these orchestra re-imaginings come out better if you build them from the ground up like with Trey's work with the Vermont Youth Orchestra adapting some phish songs. Otherwise comes off a version closer to the album version like it seemed with the show yesterday. All in all, a lot of muggy crowded fun.

Any shop that is not glad to help you put your strings on the first time shouldn't get your business. That being said, it's not too difficult to do on your own, put the bridge end in first and thread the eye on the headstock with the other end, then bend the wire over and turn. Replace one string at a time if possible to keep tension even. Just make sure you turn all the keys the same direction so you don't have to remember which direction is higher and which lower every time you tune. Google for pics.

These grant park shows are free, and go on rain or shine (the performance area is nicely covered). You don't need a ticket. I read the start time is 6:30. And according to the park, there's some space age layering of sand and gravel under the grass to allow quick drainage and drying. Tho that may be fud.

that's a shame if it's not getting renewed, I just hope they end with some closure and not another Carnival.

You could come to the Woody Guthrie folk jam this weekend in chicago, or organize your own! http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?sho...mp;#entry905048 "I hate a song that makes you think that you are not any good. I hate a song that makes you think that you are just born to lose. Bound to lose. No good to nobody. No good for nothing. Because you are too old or too young or too fat or too slim too ugly or too this or too that. Songs that run you down or poke fun at you on account of your bad luck or hard traveling. I am out to fight those songs to my very last breath of air and my last dr

The record fair has been pretty good in the past years for picking up sealed new lps from the label at pretty good prices for new vinyl. Complete that southern records collection! Tho I wasn't super impressed with the used selection, though I'm sure there are deals to be found. Union Square is right off the green line or ashland bus, saftey shouldn't be an issue. -
The interest thing about this issue this that most american's are FOR it (by a 2-1 margin I believe). It's really an issue that is non-partisan, maybe for that fact that the insurance and health care industries have very strong lobbists it's seen as not wanted by the "people". I'll bet hillary is kicking herself now, if she had succedded with her healthcare initiative she would be a much more palatable candidate.

Ryan Adans vs Jeff Tweedy contrasting record reviews

Comparing neil young to ryan adams in this way is specious. They both have high outputs, but NY's duds are forgiven in the spirit of their experimentation and the solid catalogue of proven quality. Adams has released 1 good solo album, several lesser duplicate versions of that album and was in the poor man's jayhawks. Maybe he has it in him to be good on a more consistant basis but he has not shown it yet. Their output amount really has nothing to do with anything. -
I really thought the bits from the 'old labor' mp were good. Infact the whole movie was heartbreaking in a way I haven't gotten from a moore movie since Roger and Me. He really just let these people tell their stories and their stark truth is the most shocking part. Sure there's things to hate here if you don't like moore, the standard comunist stock footage clips over regans voice, the going to guantanamo 'stunt' but really this is a touching film and made me think about universal healthcare as more than just a pipe dream. That being said, the primary reason I don't like hillary is outl

If your stereo doesn't have an aux in jack standard, most have plugs for CD changers, you can get a converter dongle that will allow you to plug 2 RCA cables into it, after this just get a Y cable and whee, you have a line in for the ipod. I've done this for a while it's great. I'm not sure what the dongle is called but the'll know at best buy or some car audio place, you may need to order it I don't think it's standard for every player.
