  6. let it all be known that your link will work if you take the word 'check' off the end of the url. that's a wild performance, looks like a pretty unique concert. as for rocking harder than the current lineup, i'm gonna go ahead and disagree.

  13. almost 100% of the time i feel that way, i go for Van Morrison's 'Astral Weeks.' its an album of unfathomable beauty that truly acts as a friend and will pull you through. i really hope you get to it, preferably with a good pair of headphones, because i am positive it will help. also see Van Morrison's 'Veedon Fleece' for a similar healing. also, here's lester bangs amazing exploration into the beauty of Astral Weeks: http://www.harbour.sfu.ca/~hayward/van/reviews/astral.html

  17. a year or two ago i remember seeing him playing bass in a female singers backing group (i forget who, anybody know?) on an episode of morning becomes eclectic on kcrw's website
  18. hey, just found Richard Swift's Daytrotter session, and thought it would make a great free introduction to Swift for Wilco fans who are unfamiliar with him and are seeing him open for Wilco. these are fantastic solo versions of four of his amazing songs. enjoy. http://www.daytrotter.com/article/718/free...s-richard-swift
  19. i'm going to guess this is in the key of A, and like yankee said, the first chord in that measure is an A major, then it switches to a D major, but all of the bass notes are A's, so i agree that the 'on A' probably just means a D/A, or that the guitar plays a D on top of the piano's A bass. just see what sounds best when you play with the band i guess. and yankee, i watched that BBC program last year and thought it was fantastic.
  20. im gonna go ahead and second africandover's post as well.
