Seconded. Seeing Jon in Chicago was a rare treat. I especially loved today's (yesterday's) version of "I Believe She's Lying" (complete with kicking the piano!) and "Baby You're a Rich Man." And at least it waited to REALLY pour until midnight or so when I was finally on my way back home on the interstate.

I do too, but unless tickets start raining from the sky, I don't know exactly how that's going to happen.

We can all hold hands.

I don't think we can really speak for any of the LR shows except our own. -
I almost forgot about that trip, Maudie! Eeeee, have fun! I recently finished: and am about to start:

I appreciate the effort of the long post, but the concepts send shivers of horror down my spine. No way, no way, no way. Equal opportunity for all. If any of those plans were enforced regularly, I would probably never have gotten the chance to fall in love with any of my favorite bands as an enthusiastic newbie at a show. The W&M plan sounds a little unfortunate in some ways, but it's not the norm.

My Morning Jacket, New Pornographers, and Stephen Malkmus

Ah! They were taking requests tonight, and I reeeally wanted to hear that song, but my requesting ability was hampered by the fact that I could not remember the title. Next time... (No Neko, by the way. But a very fun show nonetheless.) -

Damn it! I'm seeing the New Pornos tonight, and was totally convinced Neko wouldn't be there, but now my hopes are up. I wish I hadn't seen this. Sounds like a great show, though. I've seen all the performers mentioned in some guise or another, but seeing them all together would be great. -
Wow, everyone shaved.

As opposed to the post-war Martin who played with him. (sorry)

I knew this thread would wind up being a good time for all. Hugs and bunnies! So, Cali asleep in the Take 5 box, that's some cute shit right there. I love that photo.

My trick is wite-out.

That mobile took me longer to make than the baklava! Heidi, thanks for the pictures. I forgot to take any photos that featured the baklava on display, and my mom (who taught me how to make it over many Christmases) would not have been pleased.

I think the total between the three was actually a bit more than that. Regardless, it's such an impressive amount. Here's a picture with Amelia! It's from Friday night, though.

Well, here are two of our awesome late-night performers - Mart and Dave.

There was a beautiful sunrise this morning. I'm not one who's usually awake for the sunrise, but during my drive home I got to see the whole thing. It was the perfect end to the day, I think. Like Judy said, it's kind of all just sinking in now that I'm awake again for the second start to my Sunday. Thanks so much to Jeff and Susan for doing this two years in a row, and for being generous enough to do it three times this year. I was thinking later that I knew we thanked Jeff, but I could remember if I really thanked Jeff. (I don't mean that in a Stardog kind of way.) So thank you.

I heard Paul once played drums for the Who after Keith Moon passed out.

Well now I have to read it! I actually recognize the cover because my mom read it awhile ago, and I think she enjoyed it. I have finally begun reading All Souls, and I'm liking very much.
-
I enjoyed it! And thanks, Rob, for getting our old one up too.

When one of my sisters was in junior high, their school's anti-drug program had students take "the pledge" to stay off drugs, and they recorded a version of the Super Bowl Shuffle called the Pledgers' Shuffle. They sent the video to the Bears, and heard back, and for awhile there was talk that the Bears were going to come up and make an appearance at their school and do the Pledgers' Shuffle with them or something, but that never happened. The end.

Awesome pictures and posters, guys! Sounds like a great night.
