  1. without the sexual undertones
  2. wasn't there a silly quote on Pitchfork or something at some point talking about why Halo 3 was a big deal because it was a social experience?
  3. I don't necesarily judged based on the typical guitar soloes...I think it takes more smarts to compose a solo rather than just throw together a bunch of notes. ALTWYS is a good example. Not to mention his solo acoustic playing, which ranges from pretty damn good to decent. Not to mention, when the guys in Wilco get a chnace to shine, they shine: guitar freakouts in I'm The Man... Imposssible Germany, Hell is Chrome, Spiders...Then some of Tweedy's solos during his jam band phase were nicely done, and his work on Loose Fur is solid . I remember, of all people, John Mayer once said that his

  5. personally, the Theologians>Walken>I'm the Man... is their most under rated.
  6. personally, looking at the two Loose Fur records and YHF and AGiB, and his solo output I think Jim O'Rourke is, in the most unexaggerated way, a genius. I wish we could get more out of this guy Wilco-wise.
  7. but yeah, I remember smoking with some friends once and them telling me their brownie tales, where they ordered pizza after eating brownies and then refused to get up to get it when the pizza guy got there, or one time when they fell asleep for a full 24 hours. sounds like funny stuff, but a little weird, too.
  8. uhhh, I hope this was a joke, hehe...
  9. wow :\ New York never gets any love from these guys.
  10. wasn't there an article where Tweedy mentioned his son even reading that article and Tweedy had to talk to him about all his personal information available? that's pretty scary stuff for a father to have to do that kind of damage control the instant your son can read the computer.

  12. yeah, but how many people interview him with the specific idea of bring Bragg up? it's like poking a dog and being surprised it bites you.
  13. The Who. It seems to me like were focused on music, where the Stones were just shouting and meandering about and playing the blues.
  14. http://www.myspace.com/fleetfoxes Pitchfork reviewed their EP recently, there's some sweet sounding stuff there.
  15. after listening, I'm pretty sure it's in the same key, either way, I can't stop listening to this snippet.
  16. til my life ends, oh yeah I don't feel bad, I don't feel lone-ly I'm just glad it's over I know you think I'm weak, I tell you somethin' it's better we don't speak; I got nothing to say to you, anyway.. I don't mind the cheesieness of the sound, it's nice an upbeat, like Theologians as coffee with a few extra sugar packets tossed in.
  17. how could it have been written better? I'm not defending the guy, I just think it's funny you expect everyone to believe you're perfectly innocent, when your initial remarks are obviously aggressive to a degree and offer no thoughts on why you even thought it was a bad article. the article plots itself out very nicely and you can get a great sense of voice from the writing. you can really get a sense of how Jeff's head was working during some of those years. not to say you're not allowed to disagree, but I think you're just trying too hard to be contradictory.
  18. I am proud to say I am going to the same school he went to. It gives me a false sense of confidence to tell all the ladies that snapple fact.
  19. there would be The Pines in there. they've played there in 2006 and 2007 respectively, and they've liked it both times.
  20. rofl at the out of tune guitar..
  21. please no Spiders... :\ I like Spiders, but not tonight. Let's get some Theologians!
