Birthday greetings to deepseacatfish!

Hope your birthday is ginormous! -
Oh! I remember reading a comment by AIS at their MySpace page that there are more "west coast" dates to come. Really, when you look at the locations above, there's a whole lot of our fabulous US of A that isn't covered in this part of the tour. So keep good thoughts for Apples In Stereo in your neighborhood in the future.

cheers to explodo!

wait - isn't MMJ playing 2 shows in Denver right now, like last night and tonight?

I'm sure the links are dead by now, but check with the people in this thread for what you're looking for. I personally don't have the collection. http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=25334

(from Apples In Stereo's MySpace) and the dates ... How are Apples In Stereo live, anyone?

I looked this up last night, but I wasn't sure it was correct so I didn't post it. But my calculator thingy showed it to be 65 USD. But maybe that's what it costs to move the band half-way around the globe.

Hey - it's a happenin' Friday night for danelectro (well, I hope anyway! )

I would think most everyone here would be interested in hearing something new from Jay and Son Volt, no? There's no argument that he is an extremely talented man, and this new offering with horns and keyboards -- I definitely want to hear this! But then, I like it when musicians change and grow. Leak already!

Man, this is not the Beck thread I was hoping for.

Hey, if you got the dough, it's show time! PS, will you please have your plane stop in Fort Wayne and pick me up on your way to Largo next time you go?

I don't know about the rest of you (non-Austrailian peeps, I mean), but I have to admit having no clue about the distances of cities in Australia. I realize there is so much I don't know about Australia in general. So I wikipedia'd and googled a bit to find some statistics. Here's a population density map as well as the populations (2004 Australian Bureau of Statistics) of the major cities Wilco might play: Sydney 4,232,100 Melbourne 3,600,100 Brisbane 1,774,900 Perth 1,355,400 Adelaide 1,124,300 These things interest me, why I'm not sure, but probably because I know

Aw, Froggie!!! I am so happy for you! Can you attend more than one show? Are you going to try to see them in Sydney as well? It's a Saturday! You can do it!

I was too curious about the 12/31 New Year's Eve MMJ at the Fillmore extravaganza that I missed ... so I went and read your account of it over at the MMJ forum. Un-freakin-believable as well. Have you come back down off of cloud 9 yet?

You guys are in for a treat! I wish I could see one of these shows. http://www.universaltrendsetter.org/index.php http://www.universaltrendsetter.org/Interviews/BeKind.htm If you saw Jeff Tweedy's new DVD, you saw Scott backstage in Portland (I think?) singing "Family Gardener" with Jeff. And there are a few more dates for Robyn Hitchcock and the Venus 3 (who are 3 guys from REM - Peter Buck, Bill Rieflin, and Scott McCaughey) - great show!!! I would love to see them again - the Detroit show was amazing. 18 March: Belcourt Theater, Nashville, TN 19 March: The Nick, Birm

Mind you, I have to drive long distances for every show. I saw Emmy Lou solo in Indianapolis in fall 2004 at the gorgeous venue where the opera is held, Clowes Hall on Butler University campus, and the price was $45 (before fees), and my seat was in the 4th row, so I went and really enjoyed the evening's performance. I'm so glad I saw her alone, although she was accompanied by Buddy Miller so it wasn't 100% solo, but it was her show instead of sharing the spotlight with others as I had seen her in the past (such as with the Sweet Harmony Traveling Revue tour, along with Gillian Welch, David

I'm late to everything. Never even got the tree put together completely until NYE. So that's what I did while my niece played The Sims and my mom read Bon Appetit, and we all watched "Little Miss Sunshine." Here's Emmett the cat napping by the tree.
