So different. "Radiohead aimed for the head and Wilco aimed for the heart." ~ Indy Star music critic Dave Lindquist

if the photo is a .gif, it won't show up. Try another that ends in .jpg

Wilco is a cute dog, and he may get more votes out here in the "Just A Fan" section.

This was fun, thanks KT! And welcome back. Here's my debut: National Safeman's Organization "In The Vast Drama"

This is my absolute FAVORITE moment at a Wilco concert, Poor Places --> Reservations, and I don't get to hear it as often as I would like. On Reservations, I love what Glenn does with his drums with that tube thingy, and Jeff's vocals always seem so deeply heartfelt " ... reservations, about so many things, but not about you" ... ahhhh .... . I'm always awestruck by how beautiful that song truly is, and IMO one of Wilco's shining moments, never better than with these 6 guys.

So is his political career over?

I am having a problem understanding what you mean to say here.

(Hi Jason!) That was still, in my mind, one of the funniest concert moments ever. I think I have to listen to that again. *tries to dig up the audience recording from June 15, 2007* Yeah, it was very tongue-in-cheek, he sure seems to have a good time playing with his audience these days.

Are you serious? That makes no difference. Infidelity either way.

Yeah , that sucked about the visa problem and cancellation, but we're hoping for a local visit from You Am I. http://sleevage.com/you-am-i-dilettantes/ If you scroll down past all the pretty artwork, you will find 2 new songs and a YouTube video interview with You Am I.

If I had a nickel for every time somebody on the internet seemingly denied the existence of subjectivity in music, well ... ... Yeah. You know where I'm goin' with this.

Indianapolis rocks. We were better at keeping the rhythm clapping for Spiders than the Lollapalooza crowd? Ha! Take that, Chicago ! And don't forget Wilco's last visit in Indy at the Murat when the audience participated with its own "shake-it-off (whooo!) - shake-it-off (whooo!) - shake-it-off (whooo!) Indianapolis is funny! Great seeing so many Wilco friends from the region, and wonderful to meet "ashtray" ( @ Vince ) on his birthday weekend. Cool poster, Johnny Fun, fun sweaty show.

Wow! A baby fashion show! Sooooo many pretty outfits on this adorable little babe. Thanks for putting these together for us.

Calm down, everybody. Keep this a more civilized discussion please. It's regressing to name-calling and personal attacks, and that won't fly.
-
Hope you're spending it at a concert or traveling somewhere fantastic! Or both, as is usually your style.

This guy is coming through Fort Wayne Saturday night. I think I like my little city these days.
-
I got WAAAAAAAY more than my $5 worth of entertainment when the 3-piece Avett Brothers played Fort Wayne a few years back. I'm a big fan and urge anyone who liked what they saw on those videos (especially the BlueRoom, fantastic!) to just ... go.

Hope is was swell, Vanessa!!!

have a great day, pifin01!!! (sorry, I have no idea what pifin means! )

Let's keep this thread on topic, your feelings about Wilco's evolution. If you really want to rank the Wilco albums, here's the thread to do that. http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=27263

Damn, Keith. You have captured some sort of essence of Nels in that photo. Excellent work. Thanks for posting them.

My brother texted me last night just to tell me my nephew has a good friend named Wil Coen.
