Lotti!!! So happy to see you! I doubt I'd pay money to see this. I saw the previews and ... meh. Meryl Streep? Preposterous! But i've never been a fan of musicals ---> movies genre anyway. Please report in again soon as the story evolves, okay? You should be getting some great royalties anyway, no? Missing you around here

Oh, poor RaspberryJam! I'm sorry, but your plans had me in stitches! Gotta looooove family! I'd say your husband owes you big-time after abandoning you all day in that scenario. But ewwww, Fox news all day? Now that is torture!

No doubt there'll be meet and greet and heavy drinking after the show. There sure was last time. He made thisyearsgirl & I take shots of tequila, and we don't typically drink.

OMG! I love Tim Rogers! And he loves Fort Wayne. J.K. O'Donnell's is a new Irish pub/restauraunt downtown. Check out the website, too - so cute IMO - mostly because it depicts the downtown Fort Wayne skyline as having mountains in the background. ... and that video of Tim walking along city streets singing his song? Funny because he is quite a walker. When he was here in Fort Wayne a year or maybe two ago, he wanted to visit a certain vintage clothing store and record store, and they were a couple of miles away, but he wanted to walk. And walk it he did -- and it was sort of

That is funny, because I expected the same Saturday night in Columbus, but I was flat-out wrong. I have never experienced such rapt and silent attention to a musician on stage on a Saturday night sold out show. Ever. You could hear a pin drop. Loved it!

So I'm thinking a free show by Calexico in Detroit might be the thing for me. Weather forecast says high of 80 and sunshine! What kind of fun do ya'll have planned?

Love that setlist! My friends and I just caught him in Columbus at the Ohio Theater (one of the most beautiful venues I've ever seen) from 5th row Saturday night. Just phenomenal. I'm still humming "Innocent When You Dream" in my head and the visions of dustclouds and the mirrorhat still prominent in my mind's eye.

Awww! Is this the daughter you met up with in Chicago for Spoon?

Littlebear, I can't help you with the photo, but I did make your request be a thread of its own so it could be noticed by more people, and not get buried in a sort-of unreleated thread. Maybe some of the Chicago VCer's might know. Good luck!

Here's my 2-cents: Wilco tours more than Radiohead, so if I were you, I would get a refund on the Wilco tickets and go see Radiohead instead. And I'd catch Wilco the next time they come around.

Ah, I've been waiting for this review! Glad to hear it was so fun for you all. Flick, could you spot the famous flying ponytail from your vantage? "... just might?" ????? I can't imagine you being anywhere else on NYE!

I'm right on board with you all in the "3 times" department. But all Silver Jews were like that with me. I was listening again last night, humming along while re-building my iTunes folder since my PC died recently. Here's an interview by Greg Locke (Fort Wayne music critic and huge Silver Jews fan) held with David Berman recently. He said there would be more. http://greglocke.today.com/interviews/davi...interview-no-1/ ... and Greg also mentioned Pitchfork TV "Juan's Basement" had a bunch of Silver Jews videos and interviews Here's one song "Candy Jail." This link gets you to

Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band 2 songs streamed
Wendy replied to HighFives's topic in Someone Else's Song
The reason he gave to the audience in Kalamazoo was that Mogis was in the studio with another band and couldn't make it, so David Rawlings stepped in for the tour.
