  1. Tris! Have a great one! Thanks for being such a great host over at Owl & Bear!
  2. Have a great day Brad! I saw the video of the "Brad and Neil" performance of the Gram Parson's song performed at Morgan's the other night - goodness it was beautiful! I'm so sorry I missed witnessing it in person. Maybe another time, I hope?
  3. true http://wilcobase.com/song.php?song_key=168 Notice the pillows for guitar stands
  4. What are we gonna do with you, going off and having birthdays when we least expect it!?!
  5. I like it, too! Lotsa talent around this board!
  6. GtrPlyr, can you tell me what you think of this album? I am on a HUGE Harry Nilsson kick lately - just bought a couple of the Japanese remasters of "Harry" and "Aerial Ballet" ... ... and have never heard Pussy Cats before. BTW, those little Japan CD mini LP's are adorable and sound great!
  7. It's also possible you have access to use the "facilities" while you are there.
  8. "Radiohead perform "Bangers & Mash" in Nigel Godrich's basement studio exclusively for Pitchfork.tv." http://www.pitchfork.tv "It could be ... Fred Armisen!" http://www.pitchfork.tv/node/55
  9. try this thread for some answers -- http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?sho...82&hl=santa Auction Items Announced for Letters to Santa Benefit!
  10. I don't have the setlist (Edie does) but this was a loooong and MOST EXCELLENT show and I have a very VERY excitable AtticusPoongoogler here with me ... he will have an amazing story to tell at some point when he can gather his composure. I will say this much ... I requested Jeff play "Pieholden Suite" and he did but was not alone onstage.
  11. 12. I wonder how different this new DVD is going to be from the previous Low DVD. I really enjoyed that one, but what you describe here sounds like a synopsis of the previous Low DVD - Low in Europe. But I'm sure I'll check this one out.
  13. A Flock of Seagulls? Not at all to me. When I first saw this picture, what came to my mind was "this is a really good picture of Jay."
  14. I've been on quite the Harry Nilsson kick lately. This just arrived:
  15. Do you and D-Man have any more concerts planned? I loved your story about the father-son Wilco show. Edit: Bad, Downtown, BAD!!!
  16. Happy 50th Leo! Duuuuude! Hope today is the beginning of a terrific week - and year! - for you. You're the best!
  17. Love Bright Eyes. Maybe I'll post 4 times that I love Bright Eyes/Conor Oberst. Equally annoying, no?
  18. Agreed. I love Jeff's lyrics. IMO, focussing a thread on Wilco's "cringe-worthy" lyrics reminds me of a typical job performance review when too much attention is placed on the 1% stuff your boss thought you sucked at, instead of the 99% rest of your work that was great. I hate that mentality. But that's how this thread makes me feel.
  19. I just looked at mine - all 5 are perfect. I bought them each night at the shows.
