  1. Oh, you're not alone. I wished I lived nearby.
  2. No, Sarchi, you're not really sorry or you would have erased it. But your remark doesn't bother me, it just points out the fact that you don't see the difference in Ft. Wayne's approach vs this St. Louis guy's approach. On the surface both cities want the same thing - for Wilco to perform in their city. IMO that's where the similarities end. And it makes us no different than Florida, NYC, and a lot of other areas who feel under-visited by Wilco. But Fort Wayne is under-visited BY EVERYONE of this genre. We were trying to start a grass-roots movement to build a better live music scene
  3. Have a great one Kyle! Thanks for keeping VC afloat and turning us onto such great bands (Bon Iver, absolutely!) :music :music :music
  4. Notice this slip up? Would the music editor of this print newpaper really be that tacky to run this embarassing "open letter to ..." him/herself?
  5. Sweeeeet! Thanks Liz! I hope they keep it up there for a while on MySpace, it's beautiful! Plus, that gives us hope perhaps it will be available in some way some day in it's entirety!
  6. yeah, same one - I think I posted it back when. I can see me and Lou, but you and your wife were behind a guy's head. That was such a fun night. Well, you may not be Steve Earle, but I'm pretty sure I'd like solo acoustic Todd!
  7. I'll be in town for Dec 31/Jan 1, but can't stick around longer than that due to work. So I'm sorry I can't catch your show - I would totally be there if I could. Darn. Hey - I got tix for Steve Earle in Ann Arbor in March and I'm really looking forward to more songs than we heard that night at .
  8. He was much more popular with my sister than me, but I did like him too. She preferred the soft stuff, i.e. The Letterman, James Taylor, Seals & Croft, Bread, while I listened to Zeppelin, The Beatles, King Crimson, The Who, Ten Years After etc. I was certainly saddened to hear of him passing. Yes, it does make you feel old, but he wasn't very old, only 56.
  9. The only ones I can't see are the ones directly linked to GigPosters, which 2 people so far have tried.
  10. I am so completely smitten with this one. I don't think any other poster could take my breath away like this one did when I saw it for the first time. ... although I would love for the artist to prove me wrong
  11. A lovely version. Thanks for posting it!

    help

65 days, if you were trying to join the Wilcoworld's MusicToday ticket fansite to purchase presale tickets, all presales are over for this tour, as all presale tickets are sold out. If you still want to buy a ticket, go directly to Ticketmaster ... Chicago's Riviera show tickets go on sale TODAY to the public at 10:00 a.m. Chicago time ... just a few minutes from now. Here's a link: http://www.ticketmaster.com/artist/773505 good luck!

What are you trying to register for, or join? We can't help you unless you give us some more info.
  14. from what I understand - 5-day passes are gone, Wilcoworld & XRT presales only. But who knows, anything can happen.
  15. POST OF THE DAY!!! (I moved threads over here in case anyone wonders why it's out of order a little )
  16. I got a couple extra Saturday tix just now, but there will be a lot more tickets on tomorrow's regular on-sale. If these numbers are even slightly accurate: 200 5-day passes for Wilcoworld presale 200 5-day passes for XRT 200 single-day tix (Saturday, for example) 600 tickets sold so far 2500 capacity (according to CenterStage) so lots should be available tomorrow.
  17. Aw, hi SA! Been a while since I saw you 'round here! That Beck tour was pretty sweet -- but if I recall, that ticket was going unused due to weather/travel issues for me, so you owe me nothin! But it's nice to know you're in Nashville now. I did not get a ticket to this Nashville show for that exact reason ... I'd be pushing my luck, honestly, since I'm already going to the Cleveland Wilco show as well as the Residency shows (hopefully) in February. Midwest winters ... jeesh! I've been caught in 2 bad storms already this month. Enjoy the show everybody!
  18. I'm glad they don't give much more advance notice than that -- it would be sort of cruel because they don't have enough presale tickets to go around as it is.
  19. I don't see the word "broker" anywhere.
  20. Go for the one that you want the most. MusicToday will not allow you to purchase MORE tickets for 5 minutes, and by then, your second choice venue will most likely be sold out of presale tickets. They only have 10% of the seats available for presales. And many people have made the mistake of putting some great tickets in their "basket" and then trying for more in another city, only to find your basket is now empty of the first seats. I could be wrong about this, but I have read this scenario many times here at VC. Good luck!
