  2. Yep. Late. At least 30 minutes at each show I've seen him recently (Ann Arbor Saturday & Kalamazoo Monday). So don't knock yourself out getting there early unless it's GA. Enjoy the Madison show, birthday boy! Ya'll behave yourselves!
  3. Hope it's a perfect day Kevin! Is this for Ryan Adams? If so, he's been doing 90-minute shows with no openers lately, so you'll be home in bed at a decent hour!
  4. We probably don't need 2 threads about this same topic, so head on over here for some more news. And this is some gooooood news!

  10. Excellent performance, Sticky! Thanks for the videos! They are priceless.
  11. We may not have scored a Wilco show (yet!) ... but Ft. Wayne's never-give-up spirit has snagged Dr. Dog!
  12. MattZ, that might be the winner in a contest of "greatest misunderstandings in pop music history!"
  13. Here's the post-show thread in "After The Show" ... head on over there for reports! And setlist anyone? http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=31068
  14. I was a junior in high school and would not hear about Gram Parsons even existing for 2 more years, when a cool guy who worked at Discount Records by U of A campus in Tucson, Arizona, turned me on to The Flying Burrito Bros with this album. Thanks, Bob.
  15. Wow! I vote yes, this warrants a thread. Cool story. You have some amazing powers of restraint to hold back like that!
  16. I mean this very respectfully. I believe their setlists are chosen carefully, so perhaps Wilco doesn't want to be Phish or The Grateful Dead. I understand what you're saying, though. I solved this problem by not going to so many shows as I used to. I think it has been a natural evolution of my fan status and the same-same setlists, just making obsessive show attendance unnecessary, and each show I do attend much, much more special. And Wilcohead, feel free to criticize all you want, but this topic has been raised many many times prior to your arrival at VC. And the band is making at
  17. Their setlists are static compared to what some other artists are doing. But I agree that the band has become more powerful and dynamic for SBS tour. Incredibly so. Example: The Decemberists: Two shows in each city, one show with long songs, one show with short songs. That's a great idea for a band like the Decemberists. I would LOVE to see Wilco do something amazing like play all of YHF in one setting. Brian Wilson: Performed "Smile" in its entirety and then hits Sonic Youth: Performed "Daydream Nation" in its entirety etc etc Do it Wilco! Do it at the Aud
