the best night of the summer so far! (my photos from the show below)
-
anybody doing an up and back trip from nyc? already taking the L train to mccarren and haven't planned on Tanglewood, but the idea of back to back nights in such different places is making me itchy.
-
I am. but only for a couple of hours at a time right now. it makes me feel smart. and dizzy.
-
yeah, I thought the same thing. flying to houston for a show. I'm holding my breath for 'black star' or 'let down' ...neither of which they say they like playing anymore, but BS was pulled out in 2006, so there's hope.
-
I'm in for nyc. looking forward to seeing them.
-
while it deserves its last place ranking, it's stupid to think it's stupid.

nope. he's good. but not the best.
-
...how come nobody's mentioned the best rapper of all time yet?
-
me + 3 are in!
-
and if you hadn't posted that, I might never have seen this: some serious shake it off at bonnaroo
-
I went to this in nyc today...other music's celebration and got to meet the black keys.
-

...and Neil Diamond is playing the Garden the night before and the night after the show. Hot August Nights, indeed.

so, you're saying you had a good time? see you in June! -
first off, ms. yvon is my new hero. the new songs are amazing.... jim's voice gets a work out. can't not even believe that houston did not turn out to see the show. the place (the same as the one wilco packed on friday) was barely over half-full. here's some of my pics from last night:

Who's been interviewed for the Wilco documentary?

that sounds funny. and very painful. I had the same kind of experience as you at the Town Hall show in 2001. right afer 9/11 and nobody was going out. I bought six tickets... thinking I'd share the love with my friends, none of who had yet seen the band. the day before, people started bailing on me and even at the last minute like you. so in addition to my own 9/11 sadness, was so pissed... I just ate the tickets and stood in the middle of my six seats for the whole show. -
thursday morning via a stop in luling for bbq.
-
I'm putting the over/under on spinechills at tonight's show at 8. I'm betting the over. super excited.
-
I hope they make their annual appearance at ACL.
-
well, if you like onion creek... you need to cancel your life and come to austin.

cool pics! this was my first show since the first two nights of the residency. I really dug the loose vibe... and while we didn't get the horns, the fact that they were missing and the way jeff's ragged out voice sounded, reminded me of the way they used to sound back in the day... I had a conversation yesterday about the fact that now... I no longer "have plans" to see Wilco.... the first time in about six months, I think.... oh no... hopefully my morning jacket on monday night will stem the withdrawal.
