  1. Saw this item from Pop Candy today. Apparently John Krasinki form the office played a Wilco tune at a Death Cab for Cutie show at the 9:30 Club in DC. Anyone got any more info, or maybe know what song it was?
  2. Your post made me think of this Dilbert I saw today I don't want to be mean or troll here, but for Christsakes, I couldn't get through your message. Paragraphs are great things. Brevity as well. I mean from what I can tell is that this song speaks to you, which is great. I am glad that this song has helped you with your depression and all that. I am glad that you have found an outlet in this forum to put your thoughts together. Depression is a terrible thing if anything you do helps that depression great. You have a beautiful child, for one do your best to connect with that.
  3. I am so tired of Sir Paul f ing with Beatles tunes. Why can't he leave well enough alone?

  10. I love Daytrotter, but I have to agree their "articles" are hard to read. The mix seemed to be a bit off on the Bennett songs. The organ is way too loud and the vocals are muddled. Part of that is Jay's problem me thinks.
  11. I'll assume alphabeticlly AM Demos Sky Blue Sky Demos (which don't exist as far as I know) Summerteeth Demos YHF Demos YHF Engineer's Demos
  12. What the hell is up with Lennon's pants? It was the sixites, but those are some godawfuk ugly pants.
  13. That is just stupid. On a nother note Rufus Wainwright albums comes out May 15th too. Good thing I get paid that day.
  14. I didn't mean to come off as bitter, I just wanted to let you know where I was coming from. Plus I have been up working since 2:30 am already and my brain is fried so I might come back Monday and look at this post and say WTF? The overarching sentiment in my post is that TT5B was a major disappointment. I will listen to the new album, but I am not holding out hope for it. Hey I might be suprised.
  15. I believe the sub title to this post is "bring on the 'they're so old...they suck...who?' posts." So to me that pretty much says, "hey I want to hear your comments on why this new album is gonna suck." Or atleast that is what I read at 2:30 in the morning.
  16. I generally don't like to post negative comments in threads, but you asked for it. The question I have for y'all is, "do the Beasties Boys matter any more?" There was a time when popular music seemed to rise and fall with what they did. Now I think time as exposed them for the one note act they really are. Don't get me wrong they made some great music (Paul' Boutique being one of my favorites), but TT5B was an awful attempt at anything remotly interesting. The lryics are quasi - political rants that make the songs to serious and suck the fun out of songs and the band. When did we ask
  17. Andrew Bird - Mysterious Production of Eggs Califone - Quicksand and Cradle Snakes Ben Folds - Songs for Silverman Mike Doughty - Haughty Melodic Neko Case - Fox Confessor Brings the Flood

    Uhhhh

Isn't that the band who played the Yule Ball in the 5th Harry Potter book?
  19. After listening to Armchair again, in the correct order (thanks solace), I am really liking Armchair more and more. However it hasn't hit me like Eggs. Seems to set a mood for me from the first note to the last. As one complete work, Eggs is better. It is just what I think.
  20. my brother hates the song. I likes it
  21. You know I feel exactly the opposite. I'd cut a couple of tunes from Armchair and Eggs is perfect.
  22. Armchair is great, but there is no album better then Eggs.
  23. Sorry but that is extremely lame. The Beatles broke up when they did. It is over. Plus who gives this guy, a former bassits with The Late Show Band, the authority to put together any type of Beatles "album." This is just a gimmick to sell covers. The worst idea in history.
  24. I always listened to the song from the point of view of Sue Miller (Tweedy) about Jeff. You know durning the Lounge Ax days.
