  1. that's really what it comes down to for me. At best, he still puts a pretty good career at risk. I've never thought that he was even a smidge as talented as his brother but he has definitely done well.
  2. Agreed... he actually handled it better than most could have. Being a multi-millionairre may help the situation.
  3. I love just about everything that Jay/Son Volt has released. That said, that board sucked a big ass.
  4. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough but I don't hate Jim Cramer Note: I didn't see the interview yet.
  5. Happy b-day!! I'll have something hoppy in your honor.
  6. I've literally never heard of them. I'll have to check it out.
  7. Oh, I'm sure that he'll be much better received than Jay Leno. You bored today jakob? To answer your question, I think he's a bloated, obnoxious asshole that prays on small-minded people that don't question anything outside party lines. A dangerous shock-jock of sorts.
  8. Even free shit is still shit. Great networking opportunities!
  9. Jason Heath - The Vain Hope of Horse Again... very good stuff
  10. Altered Beast.... i'm sure i've seen a ton of concerts that sucked harder. Those were just 3 that thoroughly disappointed me and stick in my mind.
  11. He didn't do much and the sound sucked. It was at the Riviera in Chicago which has decent sound for a mid-size club. I liked the album but the concert left me extremely underwhelmed.
  12. Are you serious? Everyone is equally responsible for a companies viability? Although I, and most, agree that CEO pay has become significantly overblown in the last decade or two, that's just silly. Generally, the higher up you move in a company, the more responsibility and pay you receive.
  13. Why do you come to VC regularly? Comedy stylings and great taste in music. What do you get out of coming here? Please see above. How did you get into VC? I was trading shows back in the day. I hadn't used other message boards and wasn't really interested in joining one either. It was solely out of desperation to find certain shows that I had been to. People were very generous on this board and it was a small enough community to get to know some of the people. Do you consider yourself a Wilco fan, even if you hate AM/SBS/BT/MA/MA2/whichever album blew chunks? I'm a big Wilc
  14. Jason Heath - The Vain Hope of Horse VC's own Doubter had this album featured on his blog. Great stuff with Nels featured on guitar on a few songs. Loosely reminds me of Gary Heffern. Highly recommend.
  15. Yeah, I was there and agree with your assessment. The back-up band was Hacienda that opened up for him. The show definitely exceeded my expectations and my expectations were high to begin with. I could have used a sprinkling of Black Keys songs in there but he probably avoids out of respect for his bandmate.
  16. That's what is so amazing about Seinfeld. I find Julia Louis-Dreyfuss to be the only person that is funny outside of the show. Michael Richards, Jason Alexander and Jerry Seinfeld have never seemed funny to me in "real-life". However, the show was great. More Larry David?
  17. Yes, it must have been the same band. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood but I didn't enjoy them. They were cute but it seemed kind of kitschy to me. Hacienda was awesome and I love their latest. Not sure how these guys flew under my radar. And the My Morning Jacket drummer was killin' it all night. Fun to watch.
  18. Right now: Being There (the only one that generally stays at the top) SBS AGIB Summerteeth Yankee AM
  19. enjoy! Not sure if he has the same opening opening act. If so, can you probably wander in a bit late. Report back!
