  1. REM - Murmur - Freshman year in high school... pulled me from the grasp of average 'classic rock' My love of REM, led me to purchase any and all Pete Buck produced stuff... Uncle Tupelo - March Replacements - Let it Be I haven't really looked back.
  2. I absolutely love the first Perfect ep. I haven't heard this one. I'll have to look for it.
  3. It wasn't... very lame. I thought Donovan had a bit more class. I'm feeling the exact opposite. I would have liked to see Atlanta and Indianapolis go much further. The Steelers are my last hope. Otherwise, I'm rooting for Philly as I do like McNabb. oh, and great runback by Holmes.
  4. This might just be crazy enough to be true, but... maybe it's just not your thing?
  5. He's always been very talented but has definitely evolved further in his last 4-5 albums. You'll see a difference of opinion on this board but I think Armchair Aprochrypa is my favorite. Mysterious Production of Eggs and Weather Systems are typically in the conversation as well.
  6. very cool.. I checked out a couple but really liked the Joey Burns/calexico cab ride. Great idea.
  7. I was a big Smith's fan back in the day. Unfortunately, I can only take Morrissey's voice in small doses nowadays. That said, this sounds pretty good. I'm a bit surprised he's bringing the rock as much as he is. The cover is hilarious. Good stuff.
  8. There are worse things to be compared to.
  9. Can't listen to the song right now...but sold!
  10. Never had Moxie. I really like Cherry Coke zero and diet coke with lime. I can also drink a diet pepsi every now and again. Ginger Ale is good with whiskey as well.
  11. Not sure about the bonus points considering there is an Andrew Bird thread 2 below this one. Swimming Hour is the only Bowl of Fire album that I find myself going back to. It's pretty danged good.
  12. first couple of songs streaming on his nonesuch page. Sounds good.
  13. DONE! thanks for the heads up. The price is a bit outrageous but I think that's related to the venue. I haven't actually been to the Civic Opera but here's it something.
  14. that's actually what i meant to type in my head... i have manufacturing on the brain for some reason
  15. I am not afraid of Wilco's new album or DVD.
  16. agreed... but doesn't that whole 5 computer thing fly out the window with the new DRMless stuff?
  17. the files are still protected... plus, cds are so out it's very easy... I just went through it. You essentially just need to login to your account after the transfer. You just have to remember to deauthorize your old computer as you don't want that to count as 1 of your 5. However, not sure if this whole 5 computer thing goes away with the new non-DRM protected files.
