  1. No Cooperstown tickets for me yet either. I'm not worried......yet.
  2. The bed and breakfast we have stayed at for both of the SS's has a room available for SS 2013. The innkeeper, Laura, was holding a room for us but was requiring a 3 night stay, which we don't need, so we passed on it. It's called Blackinton Manor, is only a mile or two from MassMOCA. Breakfast is great and the owners very nice (a little quirky, but very nice).
  3. I just called and tickets are still available. They are $113 apiece so I passed since I'm seeing them 3 times that week. So, they are there if any members want them. And if they don't sell to members maybe they will go to the general public later.
  4. I was there as well. Wish I knew there was another VC'r there! Absolutely stellar show! We saw Radiohead the night before outside of Boston and Dawes blew them out of the water, I think anyway. The husband disagrees with me. That venue is fantastic. It sounded like they are trying to get it going along the line of Austin City Limits as far as the series going national.
  5. It's looking up for me. Jack White next week, Radiohead and Dawes the week after, Matthew Sweet in June, Wilco X3 (Newport, Cooperstown, and Hartford), David Sedaris in October (not really a concert, but I have tickets for it, so). I really like the way it looks written down.
  6. I'm going to both of those! VERY excited!
  7. They are??!! (which rumors would those be?)
  8. Is anyone else having a hard time finding a place to stay?
  9. In for Ommegang and Newport. Nothing good for Hartford so I will wait.
  10. I think you are right, Bosco. I am interested in Newport as well, considering Blitzen Trapper is playing as well. And as long as it's not raining, Ommegang will not disappoint. I saw the Avetts there last year in a deluge and it was pretty miserable.
  11. HA! You know Dan! To him, it was the stars aligning!
  12. Apparently, my husband and his buddy were the only guys in their section who knew who Nels was, but people loved him!!
  13. Oops! That's what happens when I don't get enough sleep! I don't see how to change it though. Mods?
  14. I put a note in the main board, but Nels sat in at the Beacon last night. I read a little on the Allman's board and he got some pretty glowing reviews from people who had no idea who he was. I'm sorry I sat out this year!
  15. I got a late night text from my husband who catches a few nights of the annual Beacon run that the Allmans do every year. Nels was the super secret guest star last night. He sat in on Dreams, Spanish Keys, and Mountain Jam. No note on if he was using Duane Allman's guitar.
  16. Finally looking up. Matthew Sweet Radiohead Bonnie Raitt and Mavis Staples (maybe) Hopefully some Wilco (MassMOCA?) Maybe the Moe.down, depends on the lineup Maybe Phish at SPAC, but I hate that place. There's a bunch I'm watching and waiting for.
  17. I'm opting out of the Beacon shows this year. Tickets are getting pretty pricey, then added in with hotel, food, crazy drink prices at the Beacon, etc. Just too much. A friend said last year as he hobbled out of his hotel room, "I know I'm in NYC when I wake up hungover and $500 poorer." My husband is going next weekend though, but he won't be any help really, giving any kind of objective review. He is the least critical person on the planet when it comes to concerts. It's all great to him. Which is nice, actually.
