i'd heard it previously in the week on Stern he released the Watchtower->Best of You mash-up thing on 3121.com on Friday under the title "Guitar" while when i first heard about it, it sounded kinda awful, i kinda dug it... but irregardless, best halftime performance i can recall since at least NKOTB in '91

HAH, just like the Bonnaroo one, take it with a HUGE grain of salt also, the headliner one day is most likely Radiohead

well like i said, he was a Dem up until the mid to late 90's when he switched parties (he was the Mayor of St. Paul). he opposes the Troop surge proposed by Bush for one. not saying he's not still def a conservative, but he's not a Bush rubber stamp type either (but still sides with him on a number of issues unfortunately). look at his voting record the last 2 years, he's definitely become more moderate. i think he got like a 70% rating from some Conservative deal.

personally, as a hardcore liberal myself, i don't give a shit about Franken, and i hope to hell some fairly prominent DFL'er steps into the race soon, because i'd gladly vote for Coleman (a fairly moderate Republican, and a former Dem) over Al any day. but field a decent candidate besides the 2, no matter what party, and i'd be much happier. as for Al living here, he certainly does now. i've seen him out and about twice in the last year or so. he shops at a Lunds in St. Louis Park regularly.

well, after Mart's post anything else is pretty pathetic, but: i should take actual photos of mine sometime, but: old acoustic, Takamine GS330S. really cheap guitar but it served me very well for a number of years and still sounds good. i need to reglue the bridge on it thougH: my newest baby: Martin SWDGT. i was looking at Guild's, went into the store and played a few that i'd been eyeing. they were OK, but for $350 more i started playing this one and fell in love with it. it lists for $1799, they had it marked to $999. Ended up getting it for $899. i've never owned a really nice a

Ted is f'n great live. i don't like the currently 3 piece lineup quite as much as the 5 piece he had while touring Oak, and i really miss his old guitarist, but he's still great no matter what. finally seeing him again in April, first time in like 3 years NP: Electrelane - No Shout, No Calls so far this is way better than the last one, which was a let down from their first

while i'm a mac convert now, i've been running the final version since November on one of my junker PCs... it runs fine on a 2600+ Athlon XP w/ 1 gig of ram (not noticeably slower than XP really, even w/ Aero) that said, other than the new photo gallery app (iPhoto??), and a few other decent additions, it's not worth the price to upgrade (in addition to buy the new hardware needed for some). wait until Service Pack 1 at least, then maybe, but it offers very little over XP for me. i upgraded my wife's PC to it the other weekend and she's not so big on the changes/look yet, so we'll see. m
