    Best show of the year was the most recent one: Waco Brothers annual Schubas show on 12/28. They really rip. Such a fun, energetic show. They rock out the whole time. Levon Helm in the Spring. Excellent show. Rest in peace. Tame Impala was a great show in November. Los Lobos playing Kiko back in June was a nice treat. Great show. First Aid Kit - back in February. Such excellent harmonies. Nary a bad note hit.

    That's a crazy story. I lined up for the cattle call to be an extra in Fargo, but didn't get a callback. A friend of mine was called to be the lighting stand-in for the hooker that Buscemi bangs in the scene that Shep kicks the shit out of him.

    For Chicago-area Stones fans The Stones-Muddy gig was caught on film, and “Muddy Waters and the Rolling Stones Live” will be shown at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (with a repeat at 10) on WTTW-Channel 11.

    The POTUS cannot unilaterally close down the Federal Reserve Bank, as it was created by an act of Congress, The Federal Reserve Act, which has been amended many times. If Congress wants the Fed to have more transparency, they should create an amendment that accounts for that.
