  1. Love that too!!! And "John Steer - at". Love the sense of humor!
  2. I thought of one more at work.. acoustic guitar in In A Futre Age, gives me butterflies!
  3. I love the slide guitar in Walken after "I was singing this song about you." And the guitar and drum at the end of the song. Screams in Dreamer in My Dreams Voice Crack in Via Chicago "Ahhhh Assassin Down the Avenue" Emotion in "Let's let the world just take it's shape." "If it's just yer heart, talkin..." When all three guitars come together in Impossible Germany "Ok alright, Ok alright" (popular one) "I just do as I am told." "I've no idea how this happens." Guitar that opens Sunken Treasure Piano in I Am Trying to Break Your Heart Weird sound in Company in My
  4. Of talkers in Montclair, luckily I was not near them. But there were these two 18 year old girls behind me, and the one kept screeching between each song. Rather annoying. But she said one of the funniest things I've ever heard. it was before the show started, and if she's reading this, than I;m sorry, but you're statement was just silly and made me giggle. She said. "I DO NOT want to go to NYU." Friend: "Did you get into NYU?" Girl, "Well, they have not sent me any paperwork, but I DO NOT want to go to NYU." Don't think she has to worry.
  5. For Scranton and 2 Montclairs, I'd say I like the Sat. Montclair the best ... Dreamer in My Dreams made it far and away the best night for me!
  6. I just took the week between SSF and this off, so some solo dates in that time span would be nice
  7. Spent a s***load on a Friend of the Festival ticket for a chance for a possible meet & greet. With the SSF and this, I guess I've booked my vacation for the year!
  8. Lyrical Stance is a song of pure beauty and truth -- with lines like, "I've got something in my pants. I've got something in MY pants, I've got something in my pants and it's a Lyrical stance." This song is credited to Mc Caughey, Buck and Tweedy, and they are all credited with lead guitar. Funniest liner notes ever. At The Organ.
  9. How about Outta Site? I lean more towards IAIL -- especially the acoustic version which has more of a yearn to it.
  10. I can't tell you percentages, but there's alot. And my Ipod does love me -- when it's on Shuffle, it does manage to bring up Wilco alot. One bad day, I put on Shuffle Albums, and it gave me Sky Blue Sky - yes, my Ipdo loves and totally gets me
  11. I was actually pleasantly suprised to see them among the highlights -- since they are not exactly household names. Assumed they wouod go for the more famouse folks.
  12. The Venus 3 (Buck, McCaughety. Reiflin) is the Minus 5 (Buck, McCaughey, Reiflin, Ramberg) -- but minus John Ramberg. The V3 is Robyn Hitchcock's backing band. And they rock
  13. How about the Minus 5? A "Down with Wilco" session... Peter Buck & Jeff Tweedy on same stage ... ahhhgghhaahhhhh (sound Homer Simpson would make if locked alone in a fully stocked donut shop.)
  14. Ummmm... has any one said talking during solo acoustic performances?
  15. I thought that was an old lady with bad plastic surgery. Yikes. I concur with many of the peeves mentioned above People who make too much noise when they eat Cell phone use in public, especially private conversations. I've heard a woman confess that she does not love her finance, another who was crying -- no wailing --cos her boyfriend left her, a couple fighting over who did not put water in the furnace -- dropping the f-bomb like crazy. And this one was on speaker phone. Have they no pride? Marking every email as important -- when it's just a note to say "okay" or "thanks", the unne
  16. I had booked the HOJO in Williamstown, but found a cute bed and breakfast -- Bells Victorian -- in Adams,7 minutes away. I'm in the Cottage Room, and there's tea and cookies and waffels for breakfast! This may be my only summer trip, so I figured I'd do something different whoo-hoo! Any who, I'mn cancelling my HOJO reservation, so there should be a room opening up
  17. Hotels are booking up quickly...I know what every Wilco fan on the East Coast will be doing at 10 am tomorrow.
  18. He's just playing up his crankiness.. it's become his thing...
  19. They did play on Good Friday .. more appropriate actually. No mention was made though.
  20. I never get sick of this -- is it a solo? A Trio? Cos I love the Jeff & Pat bit. Any who.. love it! Getting the tingles.
  21. Oh I missed the funny.. what'd he say?
