  1. If anyone has any "ins" I'd love to get my NOLA show poster signed when I'm at the ATL shows. I've yet to meet a single member of the band though I ran into Nels at Jazz Fest about four years ago.
  2. That's the only Wilco show I really haven't enjoyed. I remember looking around at the crowd during "One Sunday Morning" and seeing people talking and sitting. It was far from memorable.
  3. Hoping the Atlanta shows will have more energy than the one at the Cobb Center (or whatever the name of that place is) in 2011. All-seated show in a suburban, squeaky clean, new venue = meh.
  4. I think I just got tix on the floor for both nights in Atlanta. I think my fandom has officially gotten out of hand, as I now have to purchase airfare, arrange to stay with a friend in the ATL, and shuffle my work schedule.
  5. Broken Foot, I hear ya. I was gonna fly to Atlanta from NOLA for both shows at the Tabernacle. I'm almost certain I won't get floor tix tomorrow and may not even bother with it.
  6. No additional presale for the Atlanta shows. Dang.
  7. I was sitting at my computer at 9:00 CST and still couldn't get tix for the ATL shows. Very disappointed. With lightning, rain, and terrible presale arrangements, it seems like the gods don't want me to see Wilco. Bummer.
  8. I freaking love the Tabernacle and will also be trying to score floor tix (if I decide to make the trip to the ATL).
  9. Excellent! It's been way too long since I've seen them (almost 20 years).
  10. Hoping for a quick return to NOLA and to finally meet JT in the new year.
  11. Maybe the band will release it as a Roadcase show. It's certainly worthy of consideration. I prefer their first three albums, but even I was blown away by Monday's night performance.
  12. For me the ones that should join the usual rotation are "Taste the Ceiling," "Cold Slope," and "King of You." For my deep cuts I'd pick "Random Name Generator" and "The Joke Explained."
  13. That's twice this year in which Wilco shows I've attended were cut short by the weather. Still a little Wilco is better than no Wilco. And the new songs sounded great live. Here's the set list posted by the band on its Facebook page: Setlist: Wilco September 26, 2015 Franklin, TN | Pilgrimage Music Festival 01 - More... 02 - Random Name Generator 03 - The Joke Explained 04 - I Am Trying to Break Your Heart 05 - Art of Almost 06 - Pickled Ginger 07 - Hummingbird 08 - Handshake Drugs 09 - Cold Slope 10 - King of You 11 - Jesus, Etc. 12 - Box Full of Letters 13 - Heavy Metal Drummer 14 - I'm
  14. I believe John's family attended the Tipitina's shows (or at least one of them), as I recall a nod to them (they were seated on the balcony) during one of the shows. I, too, noticed the Big Bill Broonzy shirt Jeff was wearing. I don't know whether Broonzy influenced Pops Staples (though it wouldn't be surprising given that they were both based in Chcago). I do know Broonzy was a popular musician who played often in and around Chicago, including the Old Town School of Folk Music. Last night was absolutely amazing. The Orpheum is a beautiful venue, and the band (as always) sounded great. So
  15. I'll be there with a couple of friends. Not sure what our plans will be for the rest of the day, but I know we'll be seeing Wilco. Have you found someone else to join? if not you're more than welcome to join us. Just let me know & I'll message you.
  16. It would be great to meet some other folks who post here.
  17. Pilgrimage Music Festival - Saturday & Sunday Wilco - Sep. 28 Pokey Lafarge & The Deslondes - Dec. 12 Lucero - Dec. 16
