  1. The first scissor cut into a fresh piece of construction paper.
  2. You think? I disagree. I think ABAAC is the worst out of the last four -- but it does contain one of my favorite DBT songs. The Big To-Do is back in rotation in my car. It's heavier than BTCD and Go-Go Boots for sure, but definitely has that southern soul edge their music has now. I like the addition of the keys/organ to their sound and I think the songwriting is as strong as ever. That being said -- BTCD is a bit bloated. They could've trimmed some fat on that one.
  3. MMMMM....Reubens..... Corned beef 'n pastrami. Swiss. Drool.
  4. Just finished listening to it for probably the 10th time. Gets better and better. I really think they nailed it too -- a very tightly constructed album that rocks from start to finish.
  5. Marshmallows, dipped in melted milk chocolate, then dipped again in crushed peppermint candy canes
  6. Santa hat brownie bites. Brownie mix baked into mini cupcakes, strawberries, cream cheese icing.
  7. I enjoy playing tuned down a whole step, a la Drive-By Truckers.
  8. Wildflowers was the 2nd CD I ever owned. Still love it, probably more than any other Tom Petty album. I think I remember reading somewhere that Rick Rubin uses the album as his "test disc" whenever he installs a new soundsystem in his home.
  9. If you're referring to my comment, it was a reference to another thread where someone suggests Wilco is in need of rejuvenation...and was a joke.
  10. The Whole Love, El Camino, American Goldwing, Go Go Boots, Circuital
  11. True. Multiple threads about it here. Out in March 2012.
  12. Man, Wilco really needs a shot in the arm. What a predictable, boring setlist. ;-)
  13. Yeah...most of the covers on that disc are pretty good. ONly a few duds.
  14. I'm curious and excited to hear where the Truckers go next with a new bassist. The last three-album stretch (BTCD, TBTD and GGB) was really great, IMO, and I loved Shonna's contributions. The Hood/Cooley contrast has always been there, but I'm wondering if another songwriter will step up/emerge from within...
  15. Yep. It is. Still ranks as my #1 show I've been to, ever, by any band. Twas a special evening.
  16. What do you mean by "understand" people who do it?
  17. They should've been playing "Sky Blue Sky" instead of "Shot in the Arm" in the background.
