Umm...Wilco HAS played their whole catalogue in a residency. And doing so wouldn't include songs like Gun anyway. I think, at this point, it's a bit ridiculous to expect Tupelo songs from Wilco. There are just too many Wilco songs to play.

No offense, but the last half of this thread was pretty much all about camping. Lots of good stuff was mentioned.

Oh man. Wasn't expecting to find a bootleg of this at all. But I had a great time at that show, so this'll be nice. Thanks so much! -

Honestly, I'm spoiled, and I only caught one Evening With show. Next time around, it likely won't be an Evening With, and it will feel different. I'm hoping they at least keep these rare songs in the rotation. -

I think that your opinion is very wrong. Nevertheless, enjoy the show. -
The Black Keys new album - "Brothers"
Shakespeare In The Alley replied to sky blue bats's topic in Someone Else's Song
First three songs are amazing. Definitely looking forward to it. -
Listening to Initiate right now, and it's pretty great. I've never seen Nels at all, outside of Wilco, so I would love to change that.

Oh man, I'd love a DC show. Contemplating going to the July 6th NYC show, but a DC date around then would be much better. Pretty psyched to listen to this album online tonight.

The circus organ sound in California Stars was hilarious in Richmond. Jeff got distracted, and after the song asked what it was. Mike played a bit of it, and Jeff did a little dance, saying "oh, that makes me so happy I forgot where I was." Then Mike Glenn and Pat did a very brief jam off of that solo. I still crack up when I hear it in the bootleg. -

Any chance they'll change up the opening song?

"An Evening With Wilco" cannot open with anything except Wilco (the Song). -

They always open with Wilco The Song when Jeff's in a bad mood. -

Atlanta, Richmond & Scranton posters...
Shakespeare In The Alley replied to status serigraph's topic in Just A Fan
He said they'd be on his site, but I ordered one of the Richmond ones through Wilco's store last night, so I imagine they're still available there too. -

Nice to see the artist post this. I just ordered my Richmond poster from Wilco's site last night, though. But I must say, Atlanta's is probably my favorite. Good stuff, man! -
From all that I've personally seen, it's a flawless crew. Given the amount of gear Wilco has, it amazes me.

I'll chime in to agree that Wilco has one of the best road crews I've ever seen. Jeff's guitars are always ready, and the segue in and out of the acoustic set was perfect. Cliche phrase, but they are a well oiled machine.

Wilco - The National - Richmond, VA 3/29/10

I'm amazed by their stamina. I know that scene in Ashes was about the physical stress the endure, and here they are, adding almost an hour to every show. I guess the acoustic bit is kinda a breather, but still. -

That fur coat is amazing. Jay looks so serious while wearing it, which just makes it funnier. I imagine Jeff backstage, looking Jay over and just giving him a "gonna wear the coat tonight, huh?" -

He wasn't a talker. He was alone, I think. He was just annoying, and I could tell I wasn't alone in thinking this. My favorite crowd interaction with him was: Dumbass: NELSSSSSSSSSS People: Shut up. Dumbass: HE'S INCREDIBLE. I WANT TO HEAR HIM SOLOOOOO People: Don't be a jackass. -

I don't remember when it happened exactly, but it was between songs. I'll find out when a bootleg surfaces. What's important is that Jeff Tweedy defended me. Or at least that's how I'm going to remember the story. -
Tweedy's crankiness
Shakespeare In The Alley replied to anysongworthsinging's topic in After The Show
Yeah, most of it was. Some of it was Jeff mouthing it towards this guy. 1997 was a reference to the last time Wilco played in Richmond. That was definitely over the mic. It was a decent size bit of banter, too. And bathroom break? -

Calm down I'm watching you You weren't even born in 1997. (To which the ass responded with "fuck you man" Jeff kinda stepped back from the microphone, but I heard him say "fuck me? what did I do to you?") The guy was obnoxious. I heard several folks behind me straight up say "don't be a jackass." Jeff kept giving him stern looks, but he didn't get the hint. I smelled some weed around the time I started hearing him, so there's probably a connection. -
Yea. So, basically, you're wrong. Because I've heard Handshake Drugs and Impossible Germany, among others, countless times, and Nels' solos last night were new.
