Please close your thread, or post in that thread that you're taken care of, or something. Also: please check your PMs if you've requested tickets! I realize the PM notification is not as obvious as it was on older versions of the board, but if you're being PM'd about tickets, it's common courtesy to reply to the PMer. Thanks!

We missed you, Judy! Definitely not the same without you here. Mmm... Nanaimo bars...

So proud of my town. I overheard John say to someone before the show, "they've really cleaned up this area, there aren't nearly as many people lying on the street". Still haven't got that down to zero, but we're getting there! Loads of fun last night, great company and a great show.

Check your PMs!!! You snooze, you lose...

I can also meet her in SF tomorrow to hand off the tickets, if that's easier for her.

Yep, still got 'em! Definitely let me know, thanks.

I can't believe that early-entry business is becoming so wide-spread. I wonder how much influence the band might be able to put into play on this. Probably not a lot, if it's technically legal, I'm sure there's nothing in the contract with the venue/promoter/whoever that would give the band any say into stopping it. I think I'd prefer if the charge was listed in the ticket price up front. I wouldn't like that, either, but at least you'd know ahead of time what the rules were, and you could base your decision to attend/show up early/whatever on that information. But more importantly: I

Jeff Garlin's twitter has a series of questions about these conversations this morning, all of them answered with some variation of "they will be made available at some point".

I originally heard Jeff Garlin talking about this as a taping for his upcoming podcast, but I don't know if that's how it actually shook out. Might want to keep an eye out for it in that format.

Face + fees = $115. I will be at the show and able to meet you outside for the hand-off. Reply in this thread or PM me. Thanks!

I've merged these two topics, since they were both on the front page of this forum, and were called exactly the same thing. You'll find some answers to your questions above (some info about Amtrak, etc.), and I'm sure some other folks will chime in. All of these things were definitely discussed prior to the 2011 and 2010 festivals, too, you may find some answers by searching the archives.

Liam Finn's January residency at Rock Shop in Brooklyn

Mikael tweeted this morning that he will be there tonight. -
Agreed (at several parties this holiday season, it was remarked upon that most of my friends are public sector and/or non-profit types; not a capitalist among us ). And I do a lot of sponsored walks/runs/etc., and I'm always grateful when people help out, with any amount. I guess my comment was more on the generosity of some people I know personally, rather than meant as a slam on Zooey or anyone else. (And I like to tell myself that if I was earning that kind of money, I'd be incredibly generous, but realistically, I'm pretty sure this is a more likely outcome:

I think the point is that you'd expect a Zooey Deschanel type to be dropping at least a couple of hundred bucks on a restaurant meal, at least once a week, just for social/being-seen-out-and-about purposes. I'd have expected her grocery bill to be lower, and her restaurant expenses to be higher. And this is totally bitchy of me, but I know people who make a lot less than she does, who donate in the neighborhood of $1500/month to charity.

"12/12 o 2/13" makes me think he's talking about late 2012 or early 2013?

I'm a big fan of Jay Smooth, and he's so right with this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBHMwB3x2ho&feature=channel_video_title Not the happiest of Christmases around my house this year, but we'll get through it. Concentrate on what you love about your wife and kids, Crow, and enjoy what you have with them.

Did I already say this one? I love how happy and grateful people are when you offer to take the camera so their whole group can be in the same picture. Easiest thing in the world to do, but folks are always so appreciative. Happens all the time in SF, I love to think about how many pictures, sitting on bookshelves and pinned on bulletin boards around the world, I've taken of people standing under the Haight & Ashbury street signs.

Nice work, Crow! Congrats to you all.

This goes on our mantel every year:

I'd say outtakes, more likely than "new" recordings. But yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Fred Armisen....Jeff Garlin....Jeff Tweedy ...... May16th
gogo replied to srmt's topic in Just A Fan
Was listening to Doug Benson's podcast this week, and Jeff Garlin was one of his guests. Jeff Garlin announced that he'll be starting his own podcast soon, and already has guests lined up, including Henry Rollins and Jeff Tweedy in January. Will be interesting to see if Tweedy manages to get a single word in a conversation with those two. -
The Marah Christmas album is seriously one of the best things that's ever happened to me.

Has anyone cut together an all-Zooey Deschanel version of Baby It's Cold Outside yet?
