  1. It shows your social security number, too. Which is weird, since that's not even one of the fields on that form. And speaking of "it's time"... I'm probably going to shut this thread sometime later tonight. It's been a good run, for the most part folks have been civil and respectable in here, so on behalf of the moderators, thank you all for that. Seems like Super Tuesday is an appropriate time to start up a new one though, so let's start fresh in the morning with that one. Happy voting tomorrow, my fellow Californians (and the rest of you too, not that your votes really matter or
  2. That's the one I was trying to remember! Thank you!
  3. I'm on a PC, so... I don't know what the equivalent of right-click/save-as is for a Mac. Honestly, how you people make do without the right-click is beyond me. Anyway: whatever you're supposed to do to get that, you should be saving a file with a .flac extension. Are you not getting that? And then Owl's got some suggestions for programs to use to convert those files to .wav or .aiff, to play on your computer or burn to CD. edit: sorry, forgot this link: http://www.owlandbear.com/live-downloads/file-conversion/ Also in the edit: I think someone else had this problem with a Mac before
  4. Do you know where the hang-up is in the dowloading? Folks around here would gladly help you troubleshoot, if you want to try to describe the problems you're having with it.

Music Today, or Ticketmaster? I think someone said they got the five-day passes from Ticketmaster a while back, and that's one thing that I do like about Ticketmaster, they do ship pretty quickly. I'm always on pins and needles about Music Today tix, though.
  6. I can say no more, except Happy Birthday, Mike!
  7. Let Me Come Home is on The Amos House Collection, Vol. III.
  8. No, you don't have to use the search function before starting a thread about the weather. But say you're wondering if, for example, Glenn ever had braces, or what kind of shoes Jeff wears, then the search function can be very helpful. Also, if you start a thread asking "what are your favorite restaurants in Chicago?", you really shouldn't be surprised if someone posts a link to an older thread. Again, it's not meant in any malicious way, they're just linking you to some other information on the topic. Maybe someone posted a list of really great restaurants in that older thread, but doesn'
  9. Oh, if you're in the show, you're getting the show.
  10. Oh no, we're a small town, definitely! And if you passed the craigslist office, you were in my neighborhood. All those cool little restaurants are why we never cook (and why I'm so damn fat). edit: Just this minute, Trish sent me this link: So long, San Francisco! Sweet Juniper's Top Ten Things to See and Do Here The whole list is great, but here's the relevant bit about our neighborhood:
  11. I'm repeating myself now, but: starting multiple threads on substantially similar topics actually makes it more difficult to find information in the long run. There's a reason that moderators have the ability to merge threads. When the board isn't cluttered with redundant threads, it's a much easier place to navigate. There is a search function on this board for a reason. And if you can't find an answer to a question about a specific show by reading the thread or using that function, then it makes sense to ask that question in the thread for that show. That way, if someone else has the s
  12. San Diego?!? Kyle, you're killing me! (I like San Diego, but for very different reasons than why I love San Francisco...) Please don't judge San Francisco by its "downtown" (trust me, I'm sitting in it right now, it's not much fun). If you want to see the real San Francisco, you need to be in a neighborhood.
  13. I love Las Vegas, which is kind of odd considering that I'm not really much of a gambler. I just love the people-watching, seeing the ridiculousness of the decor, watching the volcano erupt and the pirate-ship battles, etc. Basically, I like it because it's silly. I usually stay at the Mirage and go to the spa there (I love spas!), but I'm guessing they've got something equivalent at Paris. I also enjoyed Love, but I'm a sucker for any Cirque du Soleil. One of the fun things about staying at the Mirage the last time I was there was that because it's where Love is based, everything in th
  14. Happy birthday, Kristina! See you soon!
  15. I was leaning strongly towards Edwards.
  16. I saw a multi-region DVD player in a shop down the street for $29.99 the other night. Surely they've got deals in that range on your side of the pond? Yeah, there's definitely a tilt to that line-up. They could run several different line-ups, an hour at a time, and you'd never know they were all from the same festival.
  17. 2 and a half days, 5 stages... something had to go! Yeah, I would have liked to have seen him, too. But I think it's good news just that some of these tapes are getting shown. Apparently they tape everything, every year, just for the organizer's private collection. I'm hoping that this is a harbinger of more to come. Me too!
  18. Wait... do you get ACL over there, Andrew? Anyway: Hardly Strictly Bluegrass on ACL (there are a couple of videos posted there, too)
  19. OK, your threads have been merged! Mathew, you can delete the second post, if you like.
  20. I loved A Secret History, and I think I own this one, but have never read it. I guess I'd better bump it up to the top of the list. Also, I can no longer hold out against the tide, I'm adding the Rob Sheffield thing to the list, too.
  21. Happy, healthy baby vibes.
  22. I still question whether the show would need the band's (or their management, or label, or whatever) permission just to use the band name. Again, not questioning that money changes hands for using the song, but when they never mention a specific "product", like a particular album, what does that do to the equation?
