  1. Funny. That Roadcase (covers) might be the only digital recording to go out of print.
  2. still pissed that Newport Folk didn't program them and that i'll miss both their shows because of that
  3. that's cool, but now they have a bundle deal for both shows and i already bought Friday's show... boo hoo!
  4. I love Patterson Hood. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/09/magazine/the-souths-heritage-is-so-much-more-than-a-flag.html
  5. The Clean Oddity Getting Older At The Bottom Hold On To The Rail Point That Thing Somewhere Else
  6. are the liner notes different between the cd set and the LP set?
  7. there's at least one good one: http://www.discogs.com/John-Fahey-The-New-Possibility-John-Faheys-Guitar-Soli-Christmas-Album/release/1700076 and a good 7" http://www.discogs.com/Frogs-Here-Comes-Santas-Pussy/release/1031399
  8. they've gotten worse w/ each record. self-titled 12" > Innerspeaker > Lonerism > the new one. sad.
  9. i disagree w/ you about Spoon's output. i think their highlight was _Girls Can Tell_, and it's been spotty since then. in fact, i think the _Sneaks_ and _Telephono_ are better than Ga x 5 or Transference. i like Eno as a drummer but i don't think he's at all responsible for the songwriting quality.
  10. apparently Martin made a Tweedy model. a guy i was staying with had one w/ him and played it... sounded fantastic. he said that Tweedy's was the only one w/ the inlays on the fretboard and headstock though.
  11. "Art Of Almost" was a pretty strong departure from the template. i don't see Jeff bringing in anyone to do what you describe. i think it's pretty natural for a band's creative force to hit an asymptote 20 years on... in fact, i can't think of many who didn't.
  12. it's pretty long. also, i think that Nels' lower E string has the faintest bit of corrosion right near the nut.
  13. i bought the FLAC last night and downloaded it but haven't listened to it yet (and it's on my home PC)
  14. and i finally finished up the rest of the photos... same gallery as before: http://photos.tinnitus-photography.com/solidsound2015
  15. if anyone's interested, here's my interview w/ Ryley Walker: https://digboston.com/an-interview-with-ryley-walker-part-cosmic-troubadour-part-punk-rocker/
  16. i was bummed that i didn't get a chance to see the ensemble in action...i was stationed at the wall near Glenn for about 40 minutes but eventually had to leave before the volunteers started, in order to catch the last bit of Charles Lloyd's set.
