there's at least one good one: http://www.discogs.com/John-Fahey-The-New-Possibility-John-Faheys-Guitar-Soli-Christmas-Album/release/1700076 and a good 7" http://www.discogs.com/Frogs-Here-Comes-Santas-Pussy/release/1031399

multi-tracked. just one song.

they've gotten worse w/ each record. self-titled 12" > Innerspeaker > Lonerism > the new one. sad.

i disagree w/ you about Spoon's output. i think their highlight was _Girls Can Tell_, and it's been spotty since then. in fact, i think the _Sneaks_ and _Telephono_ are better than Ga x 5 or Transference. i like Eno as a drummer but i don't think he's at all responsible for the songwriting quality.

apparently Martin made a Tweedy model. a guy i was staying with had one w/ him and played it... sounded fantastic. he said that Tweedy's was the only one w/ the inlays on the fretboard and headstock though.

"Art Of Almost" was a pretty strong departure from the template. i don't see Jeff bringing in anyone to do what you describe. i think it's pretty natural for a band's creative force to hit an asymptote 20 years on... in fact, i can't think of many who didn't.

it's pretty long. also, i think that Nels' lower E string has the faintest bit of corrosion right near the nut.

i bought the FLAC last night and downloaded it but haven't listened to it yet (and it's on my home PC)

and i finally finished up the rest of the photos... same gallery as before: http://photos.tinnitus-photography.com/solidsound2015

certainly my favorite LP of theirs.

if anyone's interested, here's my interview w/ Ryley Walker: https://digboston.com/an-interview-with-ryley-walker-part-cosmic-troubadour-part-punk-rocker/

i was bummed that i didn't get a chance to see the ensemble in action...i was stationed at the wall near Glenn for about 40 minutes but eventually had to leave before the volunteers started, in order to catch the last bit of Charles Lloyd's set.

Turns out either less people were wearing Wilco shirts or they were covered by ponchos or other outer gear, as I've only got a dozen or so shots (i did want to take photos of ones i'd not seen before, which also probably cut them down a bit). http://photos.tinnitus-photography.com/ssf_tshirts Will and Cole win the cutey pie award

Given the strength of today's weed, I'd say that contact highs are a myth then.

someone should have lit him on fire. i guess the answer should be obvious, but were all the shows you listed outdoor shows in venues that allowed smoking?

you and a bunch of people! blame the rain, or blame me!

the only time the cig smoke bothered me was when i was browsing the bins at Euclid... the space near the canal behind the shop seemed to be smoker central, and that door was open all the time.

one final note - granted, if you were back on the field during Friday's acoustic set, you would not have the same experience... the sound just wouldn't be loud enough. but i think that's kind of a one-off thing, and that's the other beauty about this fest... just think about the special touches that Wilco does for this festival. Glenn's drum ensemble. the book signing. autumn defense pop up show. and that's just this year! there have been tons of these sorts of moments through each of the 4 SSF's i've attended. it's clear they put a lot of effort into thinking about what would make for a uniqu

"what do you mean, make a pipe out of it?" i'm firmly in the WRP/kwhitehead/PQK camp... big whoop about people smoking weed and drinking beer. and as for people coming in close to the rail? that stuff happens all the time. personally i think they should get rid of the chairs and blankets from in front of the soundboard. it just leads to territorial pissings. i am NOT condoning people coming in last minute and standing directly in front of someone, but if that happened to me, i'd tell them to move on (which i did a couple of times; granted, i wasn't super close, though on Saturday's show i w

the lines for the dumplings, burritos and bbq were always huge when i wandered over there. i ate twice at the That's How We Roll place because that was never that busy, and grabbed a hot dog from the rotary club tent once too. i would have preferred other options, just didn't feel like waiting. the one time i did wait (for the burrito truck), i ended up missing my chance to shoot Mac DeMarco from the pit. i figured that ~30 min was a safe enough window.
