Beck - The Information (very nice production, i think i'll like this)
-
It didn't really grow on me, but I did download it when it first leaked, did not give it a proper chance (skipped quickly through tracks and then deleted it), but then someone on here must have said the right thing to make me download it again (which has never happened before), so I did and got it straight away. So I bought it. It's still my favourite album of the year by a fair distance. Although it's worth baring in mind that I am currently listening to this: ....so the whole theme of the midlake album was always going to sit well with me. (oh, and the fact that andrew bought it and li

I am glad you pointed it out, because I want to use it a lot more from now on, and spelling it incorrectly would not be too stylish. There's something quite quaint about it, really.
-
I changed the spelling calibre, sorry, but in my defence I am a dyslexic godless sodomite buffoon.
-
You obviously didn't watch the youtube thing. He said Buffoonery. To misquote Obi Wan Kenobi, "Now that's a word I haven't heard in a long time."
-
Did you not know that dates, and proof that these people existed, proves beyond doubt that the Bible is the Word of God, rather than a book about a bunch of people that said they heard the word of God, which is entirely different (well I am talking the old testament mainly here). For a book so precise and concrete it's a little hazy about the second coming and armageddon; you know, the big stuff. But then God wouldn't be able to get a kick out of watching a whole succession of fanatics for centuries hoping beyond hope that their era of sodomy and buffoonery (yes, he did say buffoonery, you wer

The Lady Doth Protest Too Much, Me Thinks! He's got a one track mind. If you close your eyes and listen he sounds a bit like BA Baracus - "AND THE PROSPERITY OF FOOLS SHALL DESTORY THEM!" Proverb 1:20-32, "AND I AIN'T GETTIN' ON NO PLANE FOOL!"
-
That's one of my favourites too (In the Light and Out on the Tiles, are the only two I prefer more), but I don't like Houses of the Holy as much as some of the other albums though.
-
If you were surprised by what you heard because it was different to the normal Led Zeppelin songs on the radio I'd start off with III as it's the most different to what people think the band are. Then get Physical Graffiti as it's very varied in sound, then IV, II and I and finally House of the Holy. Then the other 3 if you really have to.

Happy Birthday, from England!

The boys really let the team down there with their different coloured shirts and ties. I think it is essential that all siblings (I am assuming they are) should dress exactly the same. It hardens them for later knocks in life. Oh, and that running pic is top class.

Yeah, I don't think he meant to offend him in any way either. I didn't understand the joke myself, but if he was implying she looked young then I'd have taken it as a compliment myself, rather than start worrying about whether he was implying you were a peadophile or something. At least one good thing came out of the pic though, I never knew it was a picture of your wife in your avatar, so that answered one question in the back of my mind - is she a famous woman, or a relative? Now I know. One of the reasons I quite like this place is the fact that I think a lot of people have the sort of s

I thought you were black, I am disappointed. I do like the delicate way you hold a phone though.

well I definately dance like Alan Partridge. Actually if my pic was moving I probably do move like that with a banjo, I should get a strap for it and try moving around more - I think it'd be cool. All the girls'd love it!

I enjoy looking at these pictures. People never look like I'd imagine. I think of everyone as their avatars, for better or worse. These pictures will self destruct soon I'd imagine, but here's the only two of me I have on my computer (both arty black and white nonsense):

It is my favourite song from those whole sessions so I too would like it to have been included. I thought the criterion for the project was that they would put music to songs that Woody had only written the lyrics down to. However, seeing as how Hoodoo Voodoo was recorded by Woody and available on the album "Songs to Grow on for Mother and Child" as the song "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8" they kind of broke these rules slightly. I don't see why they didn't break them slightly more and release When The Roses Bloom Again seeing as how great it turned out. Jeff did say in the documentary Man In The Sand that

My favourite Zeppelin song! I'll add: Sloth - Fairport Convention and most of what tongue-tied said too, so I won't repeat it.

I'll join in again, if I may.

Ok, I'll have to convert it to mp3 I'm afraid, cos it'll be massive as flac. If that's ok., I'll PM when I've got it sorted. It's pretty good stuff. Some nice versions, and it's great to hear them form the song. -
