  1. Being as he shot Matt Damon right between the eyes in the final scene, I rate that "good guy" regardless if he was working for Costello or not. EDIT I made the leap, or assumption if you will, that the wife sent Marky Mark the envelope Decaprio gave her spilling the beans on Damon's association with Nicholson thereby sending MM into a justice filled *fucking* rage that compelled him to plug Damon between the eyes. Yeah, it was all pretty vague which is kinda cool but this movie really didn't live up to the expectations.
  2. Just found this Saturday. It's pretty damn awesome.
  3. Then: Now: More than likely later when I replace the copy I just gave away today:
  4. The only thing remotely Southern I associate with Deleware is NASCAR...so no. Never been to Jacksonville I take it.
  5. Jeff should swing by C,ville VA solo.... The newly restored Paramount Theatre would be absolutely PERFECT. Drinks are on me....
  6. You scored as A coloring book Children love you--and so do many adults. They find you approachable, simple and friendly, all of which perfectly describe you. Instead of throwing big words around, you communicate in the international language of pictures. In order to be as open as possible, you present yourself simply, allowing those around you to customize you to their liking. Sometimes this results in you turning into a primitive masterpiece, and other times you resemble a schizophrenic's daydream. So long as the one talking to you understands you, you're happy. Zen and the art of crayon-sh
  7. What's wrong with someone choosing to allow the effects of their disease to be displayed in public? "Normal" for someone with Parkinson's is different than "normal" for those without; ( yeah...NPR yesterday). I think it's pretty brave myself.
  8. Good vibes, thoughts and best wishes for you dad this morning.
  9. I've always liked "Chutes" but it's always taken a backseat to OIW for me. "Wincing" just generally moves along at a very lethargic pace leaving me a bit underwhelmed. I've probably listened to it straight through three or four times now. It does fit nicely in a random mix with the previous albums.
  10. J.T. ARRRGH! My eye, my eye...my goddamn eye! L.B Dude...you totally snapped off that #2 pencil lead right into Jeff's eye J.T. Aaaaguh! J.S Hey, look what a mess you made of Ohio. G.K. No....wait...see, it was like that already.......
  11. Yup....too much traffic. from us no doubt.
  12. The somber organ and the lyrics from Radiohead's "Motion Picture Soundtrack" puts it right up there. Although, maybe that's just more depressing than sad. I'll tell you one that gets me every time I hear it now; It's Joe Strummers rendition of "Redemption Song". Has nothing to do with the content...I just always relate it with the fact that he's gone.
  13. I personally think Bowie, the performer and the catalog hold up better today than most of his peers. The music is diverse stylistically and his ability to incorporate new dynamics was always amazing. Hunky Dory is probably also my favorite but adore LOW. If your reading this and you have very little David Bowie in your collection I strongly recommend: Hunky Dory The Rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars Aladdin Sane Low Once your hooked go back and discover the rest. The eighties/early nineties output is shaky and sounds a bit dated; ( Lets Dance is just ok ). Diamond
  14. My favorite guilty pleasure author. This is the only one of his titles I never got around to. Good stuff.
  15. Ok, Lets attack this from another angle. My soap-box, my unsolicited two cents. Put yourself in her position at the time of the initial meeting. Because you've just lost your son you are presented before the President of the United States. Personally, I've never met a sitting President; ( I have been lucky enough to speak with two men who have held the office) but I would assume that's it's a rather intimidating proposition. As such one, might be inclined to respond to this situation with some grace and reverence for the occasion especially if your in a fragile state of mind and you are perh
  16. During Carter's post Presidency he has been involved in hundreds of domestic and international humanitarian endeavors. He has been asked to represent our nation abroad as a US special envoy by three succeeding Presidents and has been present in the capacity of an election monitor in some of the worlds most scrutinized elections though his work with the Carter Center. He has worked to provide better basic health care for the peoples of Latin America and Africa and has generally worked to increase the focus on fundamental human rights throughout the Western world. Your theory could use some s
  17. Radiohead. And I think I'd have to add The National along with many of the others mentioned
  18. I think if you as a parent approach it as a disciplinary tool and not a means as to extract retribution (there are wackos out there...) I think it's effective. And as long as you don't really hurt the child per-say it's cool. If the child is conditioned to feel that this is an awful fate he's suffering by receiving a light spanking on the bottom the physiological threat becomes more daunting than the actual act itself. Worked on me anyway.
  19. This is pretty disappointing actually
  20. Thanks for the info. Will definitely be picking this one up.
  21. Prepare to be bombed back to the stone age??
  22. That's gold right there. Bob Wills couldn't have written a finer line.
