You mean you didn't just click play and then minimize the page? I think one of the major reasons that I'm not that crazy about TWL is that the songs all had that predictable Wilco sound that was present on SBS and overwhelming on W(TA). I so preferred the solo versions of the TWL songs that Jeff was playing prior to the album's release. What's refreshing about Summer Noon, for me, is that it's a bit simpler.

Again, great photos and review. My friends got a real kick out of the crowd shot. (I think they were also pretty surprised that people not only still chat on message boards, but actually meet "IRL" too) It's tough for me to complain about hearing so many "The Worse Things Get..." songs, because they're SO good live. I'd imagine that these songs will dominate Neko's setlists for quite some time. One other thing-- The highlight for me was the Case/ Bachmann duet on Sleep all Summer. What a great song!

I don't get Jack White.

I like Echo quite a bit-- Room at the Top and Swingin' were the notable singles, I think. IMHO Echo's a stronger album than She's The One, which basically feels like a bunch of Wildflowers b-sides. It's not a Heartbreakers album, but Highway Companion is a decent listen too. I've listened to Mojo maybe 5 times and don't intend on revisiting it again any time soon. The new single shows some promise.

Wilcoworld said 10am yesterday and I think this morning. I logged in and got 2 in the 2nd row at 10am. Soon after I asked a friend if she pulled anything and she said the site said noon so she hadn't even tried yet... I'm not sure what happened. Either way, now I need to sell 2 tickets for NFF!

I feel the same way. Frankly, I was more excited about seeing RA at NFF than I was Tweedy. I think I'll still try for presale tickets & let fate decide.

We have a membership to TP's fanclub. Tried for Fenway tickets... two tickets, with the cost of the membership, are $373.85. No thanks.

That's about as fair a statement as: "wilco fans are a bunch of middle-aged dads."

The hypocrisy stings a bit. The "golden circle" seats are going to be $130+. That said... I'll (hopefully) be at the Fenway show.

Oh man, that was awesome. I'd watch 90 minutes of that.

Maybe Matt Pond tonight, if I can stay awake for his 10:30 start...
