  1. Also not a fan of LOL. I just typed it for the first time and already feel douchey. As far as the hipsters on the bikes quoted earlier this is a phenomenon that is getting out of hand. I attended the Heartless Bastards show last night here in beautiful Northern Kentucky and you could not swing a dead cat without hittin a dude in thick black rims, hair grease, skinny jeans and a long sleeve button down despite the 105 degree heat index, and apparently half of them rode a bike there .It reminded me of that time I went to the casting call for "Outsiders...The Musical"
  2. I also would like "just the music" If Wilco wants to deliver a bicycle to me that would be awesome but my ideal package would include the vinyl and a download with all the extras included. It looks like I'll fall into the most redundant consumer category with the vinyl, a regular cd, an extras cd, and a download and 9 digital copies of "I Might".
  3. Heartless Bastards, acoustic. For all you Chicagoans they will be at Schuba's tomorrow.
  4. Can someone produce a logarithm that can tell me the cheapest way to get the record and all the music available without getting a tote bag and a single I already have while still entertaining the thought of purchasing a t-shirt if it doesn't increase the shipping by more than 30%. I would do it myself but I don't have the time and I just remembered I'm a construction worker.
  5. Had I known samey was a word I would have commented on this yesterday. I might go as far as boring. I don't like or dislike them. They just have always came off pretty neutral to me...maybe they have Swiss lineage. Maybe I'm to harsh of a critic though when everybody around me is going apeshit over a band and I'm just not hearing it ala Radiohead lately.
  6. Shouldn't this be in the Van Morrison thread?
  7. Wasn't sure if you were asking me but mine aren't gold circle, just floor. Welcome by the way.
  8. Quite a few cross overs from your man-boobs gallery as well.
  9. woo hoo! Grandaddy vinyl day, finally here and couldn't sound better.
  10. Just keeping an eye on these Ryman tickets on Ebay. Currently there are only 4 auctions of which only one is within 2 days. $225 for two tix on the floor, row T with 28 hours to go on the auction. The "buy it now" prices are all $300 or more. It looks like the price for a floor seat is going to end up around $150. I'm sitting here with 4 for each night. That's at least $800 PROFIT I could pull of these tickets! I've already booked a hotel and the idea of selling these tickets is humorous to me but then again...I love me some Wilco. As much as I find it irritating I also have a little...ok alot
  11. see you there buddy. mf-3 row x, seat 3-6. got 2 sets of 2 for sat, one set is back center main floor, the other 2 are main floor 3, row y, seat 14-15...says obstructed view. Any Ryman vets with any insight on that?
  12. There are already 9 tickets for the Ryman/Saturday on StubHub for the modest price of $142 per. Maybe you should have to answer an impromptu Wilco quiz before buying to avoid scalping.
  13. Has anyone confirmed a presale for The Ryman? Those tickets are for sale on Ticketmaster's website and it says they don't go on sale till Friday.
  14. Am I just not seeing it or is Ticketmaster not mentioning a presale for Nashville? Anybody know whats up? It appears to be the only show(s) without presale.
  15. "There's always room for Wilco" - Bill Cosby
  16. Damn you and my stolen thunder. I had a hell of a Johnny 5 joke lined up.
  17. To me "The Whole Love" could have about a dozen different meanings and "Get Well Soon Everybody" means get well soon everybody. It doesn't sound as dark and depressing though and dark and depressing albums are usually great. I think I'll trust the people that create and play the music to give it the proper title though.
  18. I am anxious to hear Nap's four or five reasons why this song sucks.
  19. Definately a vintage organ sound, I was thinking The Animals. The intro really sounds like a slowed down "I'm a Wheel". I can already picture a face melting solo by Nels in here!
  20. What a mom. I can't imagine my mom driving across the country for a concert, unless Bread was playing in Oregon or something.
