Anyone been on a hot air ballon ride before?
sonicshoulder replied to remphish1's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Does a Nitrous balloon ride count? -
Mermaid Ave 2 looks like it, maybe "Down with Wilco" if you want to count it.

Sunday's Lexington show was great. These guys are so cohesive live it's kinda ridiculous. It's not very often you find the new stuff the highlight of the night but "Circuital" was by far a stand out. That song is just awesome live and I have good feelings about this album. Some other highlights for me personal were "Butch Cassidy", an amazing version of "Dance Floors", "Smokin from Shootin" and the song all the Jacket purist love to bash "Highly Suspicious" which absolutely kills it every time.

I priced all the RSD exclusives I picked up Sat. on Ebay and they are all going for at least double with bids. I buy records to listen to so they have all already been opened and played so looks like my return on investment will have to be sonic compensation. There was a rather strange mother/son combo in line in front of me. His bill was about $200,her was $360. They bought a bunch of the same shit and instead of shopping then paying they jumped in line and took turns leaving to go get more records. I wonder how long it took them to take pictures of all that stuff and get it posted on Ebay. U

A guy named Jeff Tweedy. Solo act. Figured I'd give it a try.

I was actually refering to the market saturated with an abundance of reasonably priced vinyl. I'm not into $35 records, gimmie the $16.99 120g all day, plus I only have to flip it once.

What comes first, depression in teens or emo music?

Can we punch people in the face if they have strategic holes in the sleeves of their sweatshirt so they can stick their black nail painted thumb through it? -
How not to subdue a f*&^(ing CHILD

As a parent of two whom has never struck his kids I have to agree with you. My mom raised her hand to me once...period. It was a crushing back hand to my face that Im sure she felt horrible about but I deserved every bit of it. It was like getting kicked by Billy Jack and it was the first and last time I gave her good enough reason to strike me. Its kinda the same way with a puppy, it shits on the carpet-you smack its ass and after a couple of times it figures it out. If it shits on the carpet and you ask it kindly to shit in the yard....well, it shits on the carpet again. Pepper spray might b -
Looking for a decent turntable
sonicshoulder replied to guitargeek85's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
You can spend a ridiculous amount of money on speakers. I fill my entire downstairs(approx. 1200 sq. ft.) with a $35 used pair of Cambridge Soundworks bookshelf speakers via Ebay. -

Agree. I've got a Technics SL-D20 automatic, direct drive. It's bottom to middle of the road for Technics which makes it middle to high road compared to others(minus high end tables). I prefer auto and direct drives. They are all over ebay for anywhere from $80-$250+. I was patient and ended up getting one in great condition with dustcover for $90 shipped. Keep in mind if your going old turntable with a newer receiver your going to need a preamp which you can pick up for about $60....O.K. I'll shut up now. -
Thats bonzer!

So you think that your state is messed up?
sonicshoulder replied to Doug C's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Thats why I'm glad I live in a commonwealth. Statehood is overrated. -
Apparently it was out of print because like I said I couldn't find one anywhere before. I searched for info on a reissue but nothing came up.

Going to Chicago....what to do, see, stay, etc.
sonicshoulder replied to LouieB's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Appreciate the info. Sounds like maybe a little more time consuming with the lines then my schedule will allow unless they open pretty early. Are we talkin around the block lines? I love Chicago, my sister lived in Lincoln Park for about 7 or 8 years and I think I've been there to visit Wilco or Jeff Tweedy more than I ever visited her. I have two mandatory stops Pequods and the Goose Island brew house. After that I'm open. -

Little help here. Record Store Day is the 16 of April, the day after Jeff at the Vic. Looks like were staying the night in Chicago. What would be some suggested stores close to the Vic so we can hit them on the way home? -
Not drinking it yet but in about five weeks I'll be drinking a Three Floyds GumballHead clone I brewed in the garage last weekend. You can't buy it in KY so we'll just have to make our own.

If you have ever seen or read The Road you don't want to be around for the end. There is a really nice moral there...KILL THE ONES YOU LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been watching for this record at least bi-weekly for the last couple of years on Ebay and Amazon. There had been one used copy sitting on Amazon for a quite a while for 49 bucks + shipping and I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger despite my love of the album. So to make a short story long I do a Amazon search the other day and voila...there it is for $16.99 brand new. 23 days later and it has shipped!!! (For those of you that don't use Amazon 23 days for something to ship is about 4 years in regular customer service time.) I apologize for sandbagging and not mentioning something

I myself love some half and half. As for sugar though I could use words like rancid and vile and wouldn't feel I was being overly dramatic.

How dare you guote a world renonwned scientist regarding this extremely complicated subject regarding world safety on a band's fansite. If you can't create a more informative thesis than some expert who happens to have been knighted for his work in this field you shouldn't post anything at all.
