They should have been in a long time ago. KISS are one of the biggest American bands of all times. Really, they are what rock and roll is all about. I suppose I am a bit biased, I have been listening to them since 1976.

Mike Bloomfield and Elvin Bishop - you can't go wrong with that combination.
-
It must be about the same deal that allows whoever it is doing the Dick's Picks re-releases to put them out. It seems odd to me.

I have 3 stereo systems. It's just something I would not buy unless I could get it on cd. I only buy old records, and never pay more than 10 bucks for a record. I was wondering that also. I am surprised whoever controls the Jerry estate didn't put the brakes on the release.

I'd like to have that - but not on vinyl.

It's good to see KISS, Deep Purple, and Yes on the list.

Official Doctor Who discussion thread

I read this somewhere the other day - but what I read seemed to say it was just a rumor. It has now been confirmed: (Sky News) -
Some of that sort of stuff must be new - I don't recall those things in the old bootleg version I have. Although, it has been a long time since I saw the film.

David mentions the Dick's Picks re-issues again in the chat from last night. And more 69 shows coming out. (I didn't get to see it last night. It's a good thing they archive these things.) Someone must have changed their mind - I recall reading an interview with Dick or David where they said they would never consider using an AUD tape. 2/11/1970 - It would be cool to get that one. (The must be why he mentioned they acquired some tapes from 1970/1971.)

He has said some good things about the band in the past. I usually like to read what he has to say - but sometimes I think he is just plain wrong.

Another not heard, but just read on Lefsetz's blog:
-
That one seems more in depth than the Relix interview. I don't see how he could like that music, but, people like what they like.
-
The Brooklyn Slide was the only album of theirs I ever owned. I gave it away to a friend of mine years ago. (It's sort of interesting that this announcement comes out - and those Coffee Creek shows appear on Dime a Dozen yesterday.)
-
The Avett Brothers Sing Heavy Metal (Not too long ago I was watching videos of a bluegrass band doing Metallica songs - I sort of liked what they were doing.)
-
Don't forget the acoustic stuff - You can go to Archive.org and listen to all the shows you want.
-
I thought they would have something out by now.

From Billboard:

I read that somewhere - on the Record Collector website I think. I think he is sort full of himself. When I was a youngster, ELO were very popular. I never got into them though. I do like some songs of The Move. I suppose it must have been George that pushed for him to do the Free As A Bird and the other tracks.

For those who know who this guy is:
-
That's it.

When I see those photographs, I think of his Hendrix quote. Something about walking around NYC and seeing Jimi ride past in a limo - it's in the Biograph or Bootleg Volume 1-3 liner notes (I think).
-
I recall reading somewhere that the Dylan (1973) album is going to be included in the collection. I hope they put it out separate at some point.
-
Same deal as the live BC album they put out a while back - I take it they must not be pressing very many copies of the album.

They must have something against cds:
