It's going to really wrong if this place gets shut down due to people posting links to songs that are available for purchase.

Like a lot of the old school folks, they sort of lost me with Summerteeth. I prefer A.M., Being There, and A Ghost Is Born above all the rest of the albums. For me, I suppose it has something to do with the sound, the songs, and the guitar playing.

I don't care for The White Stripes, so I am not really familiar with Jack's guitar playing. I was unaware that he was considered a virtuoso (which is the term used to describe all three of them in the description on the website). Although there are exceptions (of course), I am not all that crazy about someone using racks of effect pedals, aside from a Fuzz Face or a Wah-Wah pedal. I don't think I have ever viewed The Edge as a stand-out guitar player. I suppose I look at U2 as a band, rather than the musicianship of each separate individual. From what I have read and seen, it looks like a n

What is so special about him - aside from the helicopter guitar sound? But I should realize that being a guitar god is not the point of this film. I suppose I am biased, as I mainly prefer the old British Electric Blues/American Sixties SF dudes above all else.

It Might Get Loud August 14 - in LA and NY. I have read a lot of discussion about this film on another board I am on. I still think it is a weird mix. I would like to see it for the Jimmy Page footage. I don't really look at the other two as guitar greats.

I think it sounds like a Rolling Stones Some Girls era disco song. I don't care for it. I don't think the new album(s) will sound like that. At least, the songs from the one show we heard did not sound like that.

I recently got pissed off at WinAmp - so I am only using it to listen to FLAC files now. I am back to using Windows Media Player for everything else. Check out some of the links that were posted.

Maybe I should put that on the list. I have read about those files, but I don't think I have ever actually seen or heard them.

Check out the links below - they may help answer your questions. Audio Files types of What are CDA Files? What are FLAC files? What are Mp3 files? What are SHN files? What are WAV files?

I am not too fond of buying used cds, but sometimes it may be the only way to get what you want. Amazon has used copies of Pacific Coast Rambler listed for 2 bucks. Amazon also has The Original Harmony Ridge Creek Dippers for 10 bucks (used). Also, here is a link to the Mark Olson cds listed at Amazon.com -
I saw a recent Old 97s show up at bt.etree.org the other day. I would check the Old 97s/Rhett Miller message boards and Dime a Dozen.

I think that's right. A lot of people will be making money off of him this year.

I'd say it might outdo Elvis and Bob Marley - which is saying something. I doubt the state of California could afford the security to cover it.
-
The kicker is that there was a box from Amazon in front of my door when I got. It was some other stuff I ordered. I have no ider why the Wilco cd would come by way of UPS. The dude did not leave one of those yellow slips for me to sign, either.

I find this sort of funny - considering they have dumped larger and more expensive items off where I live and drove away.

Link to main page.

I happened to land on the Greta Van Ballbuster Show last night - and they were talking about the autopsy report. It made me think of Howard Hughes. I saw this great Enquier cover a long time ago - it was a drawing of Elvis pushing JFK in a wheelchair. They should update it, and stick MJ in the picture.

You can buy the cds, right? -
Thanks - I will fix the link in the thread where I had that information stored.

I think there was talk of that on some news sites the day he died. Among the many books that will come out within the next few years, I would think at least one of them will be about how is still alive and hiding from the public.

You almost have them all. I think they are going to re-released this year.
