  1. I just got the new box in the mail. I have to say Rhino or whoever really cheaped out - no liner notes, essays, or photos. There's just a thin paper sheet with the tracklist. They should have let Andrew Sandoval work on this boxset.
  2. I recall listening to that Honeydrippers tape. I may still have it. I guess that song gets compared to Since I've Been Loving You - due to the fact it's a blues song.
  3. I never shop at Target - or seldom ever. I don't think they even have cds at the one where I live. I could have went to Barnes and Noble and paid 25 dollars for it. LOL
  4. I've only bought it five times. I guess we will see about the new Wilco album. I actually got it today - but left it with someone I work with and forgot it bring it home.
  5. I have not listened to those albums in a long time. I would have to go with Human Touch and If I Should Fall Behind as the two songs I recall getting into at the time.
  6. Shit man, I don't want to buy it again so soon. That's for twenty years down the road - when they do the re-mastered super deluxe edition.
  7. I guess they are not doing some sort of deluxe edition as they have in recent years? Amazon tells me mine should be here sometime before the end of the month. I didn't really listen to the free download. So it will be new to me. I still think the title is odd. Maybe Jeff was doing a Replacements - Let It Be.
  8. I'm Gonna Crawl is the song I like. I think Warpaint contains some great songs. The sound is just weird and Luther's slide work sort of sticks out as odd in some places. The album title is also a bit strange. Reminds me of another band whose recent album title starts with an S.
  9. I could not buy the last one. Backspacer was it for me. I wish I had not bought that one.
  10. It's probably on Youtube. I find most things on there. I'd say they are wrong. But - everyone likes what they like. I think Lou's best work is what he did in the VU.
  11. I recent bought a vinyl copy of In The Wake of Poseidon just so I could display the album cover.
  12. You need that about as much as you need Neil's coffee shop album. And Queen's Hot Space album. Which is to say - not at all.
  13. I would like to hear it what it does. But - I don't listen to music anywhere but home. I would have no use for a so-called portable music player. Plus it cost a lot of money. I guess if there was a way to hook up an equalizer and speakers to it I would be interested.
  14. Neil's posted a couple of things in recent days - this one is interesting:
  15. I first saw that film when I was a kid at the drive-in theater. I actually own all the Billy Jack films on dvd.
  16. There are actually 4 Billy Jack films. You should read up about Tom Laughlin for the hell of it.
  17. I think they had a falling out about money the last time around.
  18. I think part of it is due to the fact I use to watch The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau when I was a kid.
  19. I did - on the previous page.
  20. That is sort of why I bought it. I wanted to watch it - and could not find it streaming on Netflix. I also recently bought a film I first saw on PBS (of all places) a long time ago - Box of Moonlight (1996). It's a great film to watch on a Saturday summer evening.
  21. Life Aquatic is my favorite one. I actually bought a dvd of it the other day.
  22. I just read this morning that Leonardo DiCaprio is going to be in the film version of The Devil In The White City.
