Yet another example of music made around the time I was born (days before and days after) that end being the sort of music I am into. I think some of that stuff is on the first Bootleg (Vol.1-3) boxset. Visions of Johanna, Fourth Time Around, and Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands are three of my favorite Bob songs. I'd like to hear acoustic versions of those songs.

I bet. I don't need that. Two discs is good enough.

He also produced their first album. Which I still think is the best one. I was thinking the Volume 12 information I posted above seems somewhat similar to the No Direction Home soundtrack.

He also played at the Monterey Pop Festival.

Have you ever read his book? I don't think I have. He was a guy who was in the right place at the right time.

I got the new issue in the mail today. It seems quite different from the old magazine. And it is odd to read through a magazine without ads. There is an interview in the new issue with Jay Farrar. I was surprised or maybe not surprised to see he dregs up some story from the past about Jeff again.

I wouldn't worry about a list - there is no such thing as worst anyhow. Get all of them - and then get all the Jayhawks, Old 97s, Ryan Adams, and then the best, Blue Mountain cds. And then you will be all good.

I was about to get rid of Netflix. And then I remembered the new episodes of Longmire started yesterday.

I think there is also a documentary about him coming to Netflix soon.

I have a tapestry of the Number of The Beast cover that a friend of mine made for me back in high school. That didn't go over well with the parents back then.

I happened to be in Walmart earlier and noticed they had it for 18 bucks.

That was the last album I bought also. I am not a fan of the sound Kevin Shirley goes for - but at least they are still making new music.

I don't think I have either. Maybe those guys will do an AMA someday.
