  1. I happened to be in Walmart earlier and noticed they had it for 18 bucks.
  2. That was the last album I bought also. I am not a fan of the sound Kevin Shirley goes for - but at least they are still making new music.
  3. The website Iink I clicked on the film did not work. You can look at the Facebook page without signing up for Facebook. I learned about by way of Mountain Bed's Facebook page.
  4. There is a facebook page. I think it is called I Just Want You to Understand Me: The Story of Jay Bennett. Reddit is a funky place.
  5. I think Jay Bennet would have been great at doing an AMA. I thought about asking if any current member of Wilco was interviewed for the Jay film - but I decided that might have been rude.
  6. I don't really care for that album - but the song Southern Accents is great. It's sort of interesting to check out the songs on the Playback box set that were meant for that album. I think Tom recently apologized for using the Confederate flag on that tour - in the midst of all that Confederate flag stuff going on a while back.
  7. I won't get to hear it until tomorrow probably - so I don't know how the sound is compared to the other releases. I just noticed they have also re-named the first album. It is now called The First Step. These discs definitely sound different than the old cds and even the previous boxset. I'd say there is more clarity in the instruments and in the mid-range of sound. Or something like that.
  8. I just got the new box in the mail. I have to say Rhino or whoever really cheaped out - no liner notes, essays, or photos. There's just a thin paper sheet with the tracklist. They should have let Andrew Sandoval work on this boxset.
  9. I recall listening to that Honeydrippers tape. I may still have it. I guess that song gets compared to Since I've Been Loving You - due to the fact it's a blues song.
  10. I never shop at Target - or seldom ever. I don't think they even have cds at the one where I live. I could have went to Barnes and Noble and paid 25 dollars for it. LOL
  11. I've only bought it five times. I guess we will see about the new Wilco album. I actually got it today - but left it with someone I work with and forgot it bring it home.
  12. I have not listened to those albums in a long time. I would have to go with Human Touch and If I Should Fall Behind as the two songs I recall getting into at the time.
  13. Shit man, I don't want to buy it again so soon. That's for twenty years down the road - when they do the re-mastered super deluxe edition.
  14. I guess they are not doing some sort of deluxe edition as they have in recent years? Amazon tells me mine should be here sometime before the end of the month. I didn't really listen to the free download. So it will be new to me. I still think the title is odd. Maybe Jeff was doing a Replacements - Let It Be.
  15. I'm Gonna Crawl is the song I like. I think Warpaint contains some great songs. The sound is just weird and Luther's slide work sort of sticks out as odd in some places. The album title is also a bit strange. Reminds me of another band whose recent album title starts with an S.
  16. I could not buy the last one. Backspacer was it for me. I wish I had not bought that one.
  17. It's probably on Youtube. I find most things on there. I'd say they are wrong. But - everyone likes what they like. I think Lou's best work is what he did in the VU.
  18. I recent bought a vinyl copy of In The Wake of Poseidon just so I could display the album cover.
  19. You need that about as much as you need Neil's coffee shop album. And Queen's Hot Space album. Which is to say - not at all.
  20. I would like to hear it what it does. But - I don't listen to music anywhere but home. I would have no use for a so-called portable music player. Plus it cost a lot of money. I guess if there was a way to hook up an equalizer and speakers to it I would be interested.
