The dude sure can sing. Oddly enough, Leo Sayer started out that way also.

There are sources out there for the shows right before and right after the Salt Lake City show. But nothing for this show - so far. -
I'm giving the Atlanta Pop Festival album a spin. I haven't listened to those cds in a while.

I can't think of the name of it at the moment, but I have some multi-volume studio outtakes set. I think one whole disc is various takes of Jennings Farm Blues. I say bootlegs - I really mean I grabbed them off some BT site. Link to official site - if you want to see what the new releases look like: Two different vinyl packages, 1 CD version, Deluxe Edition (2 CD), Super Deluxe Edition (2CD +2 LP). Amazon has the 2 disc versions for 20 bucks. That is pretty good. I wonder if they will go up in price? I am not really a pre-order sort of dude.

I think there are a few versions of that 1969 shows around. I have one of them. I wonder if the mult-track Southampton show from 1973 will end up on one of the later re-releases. It will be interesting to see. It's been out for several years now.

Of course, you can get that already. It's a French Radio bootleg.

Information on the new re-releases:

They did play Hot 'Lanta last night:
-
No Butch last night. I guess it was a first for him. I hope you guys get a Hot 'Lanta before all is said and done.

A bunch of musicians talking about how great Pono is. . . I thought it was interesting to see T. Bone Burnett in the video. As I recall - he and John Mellancamp tried something like this a few years ago. Looks like he got the bucks:

Maybe you would like to see some Puddles the Clown: Puddles - Another Tear Falls

I guess these things are going to cost upwards of 400 bucks. This is the first time I have heard of the FLAC file connection:

That guy is a nutcase. But - I still figure it took some guts to speak that way to the President.

A new article about the Betty Boards: What’s Become of the Bettys? The Fate of the Long-Lost Grateful Dead Soundboards I don't know if there is any new information there or not. Some of the stuff at the end is new I suppose.

Another new Chris song: About A Stranger

President Obama on Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis (I can't see other presidents doing such a thing. President Clinton - maybe.)
-
I grabbed this yesterday at B&N for about 18 bucks. I can see that due to the spacing on the pages it is a lot thinner that I thought it was going to be.
-
That article is certainly discouraging. I don't know why they are worried about making "hit singles" at this point.

If you wan to read it, Alan Paul did a IAMA on Reddit: Allman Brothers Band biographer, Alan Paul, author of "One Way Out". AMA about the ABB, blues, 70s rock, guitars or even living in China!

Butch is always good with the PR:

From Billboard:

If he was in the episode tonight I missed it. I was watching Pawn Stars (somewhat) as they had a Hendrix guitar on the show.
-
I wonder if he is on tonight's episode? I noticed tonight's episode description includes something to do with a band.
-
Story of my life - I've read that one and Midnight Riders: The Story of The Allman Brothers Band. I guess Duane's daughter has a book out also. I don't think I will read that one.

That's cool. Let someone else have it. Or donate it to a library.
