  1. They must be playing Mountain Stage. As I now add all dates to our Wilco show sheet - I appreciate the work you are doing here.
  2. The one I seem to recall was the segment about an old guy who picked up junk along the road and had a much younger girlfriend (possibly).
  3. I remember that show. It was on during the time I was in high school.
  4. I don't think they could get me to buy Smile again. We shall see.
  5. That is who Ronnie is singing about in Sweet Home Alabama. (Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers/And they've been known to pick a song or two. . .) And of course David Hood is the father of Patterson Hood.
  6. This talk makes me think of the film Chariots of the Gods (which I saw in grade school, believe it or not). I would not watch In Search of. . . at night. It is still spooky.
  7. You may not want to know this - but you can find all of the In Search of. . . episodes on Youtube. Although - the versions on there are from the days when it was on the History Channel. The beginning sequence is different. One of the scariest things I can recall seeing as a kid is that film of Bigfoot running around in the woods.
  8. DVD only I think Hittin' The Note has it for 25 bucks.
  9. I'd like to see that and Please Call Home: The Big House Years.
  10. I am getting toward the end of the One Way Out book. I still find it a bit thin and more about problems than the music. But - after reading hundreds of these type of books, I should not be surprised. I forgot about the Jack Pearson/Jimmy Herring eras. I believe I have read before that Greg was not too happy about "jamming". That is sort of what I like to hear the band do. I am big fan of the song Midnight Rider for example, but really it is all about the instrumental passages for me. I think that is what they do best. I guess along with the other problems - Dickey was playing too loud. I
  11. The dude sure can sing. Oddly enough, Leo Sayer started out that way also.
  12. There are sources out there for the shows right before and right after the Salt Lake City show. But nothing for this show - so far.
  13. I'm giving the Atlanta Pop Festival album a spin. I haven't listened to those cds in a while.
  14. I can't think of the name of it at the moment, but I have some multi-volume studio outtakes set. I think one whole disc is various takes of Jennings Farm Blues. I say bootlegs - I really mean I grabbed them off some BT site. Link to official site - if you want to see what the new releases look like: Two different vinyl packages, 1 CD version, Deluxe Edition (2 CD), Super Deluxe Edition (2CD +2 LP). Amazon has the 2 disc versions for 20 bucks. That is pretty good. I wonder if they will go up in price? I am not really a pre-order sort of dude.
  15. I think there are a few versions of that 1969 shows around. I have one of them. I wonder if the mult-track Southampton show from 1973 will end up on one of the later re-releases. It will be interesting to see. It's been out for several years now.
  16. Of course, you can get that already. It's a French Radio bootleg.
  17. Information on the new re-releases:
  18. They did play Hot 'Lanta last night:
  19. No Butch last night. I guess it was a first for him. I hope you guys get a Hot 'Lanta before all is said and done.
  20. A bunch of musicians talking about how great Pono is. . . I thought it was interesting to see T. Bone Burnett in the video. As I recall - he and John Mellancamp tried something like this a few years ago. Looks like he got the bucks:
  21. Maybe you would like to see some Puddles the Clown: Puddles - Another Tear Falls
  22. I guess these things are going to cost upwards of 400 bucks. This is the first time I have heard of the FLAC file connection:
  23. That guy is a nutcase. But - I still figure it took some guts to speak that way to the President.
  24. A new article about the Betty Boards: What’s Become of the Bettys? The Fate of the Long-Lost Grateful Dead Soundboards I don't know if there is any new information there or not. Some of the stuff at the end is new I suppose.
  25. Another new Chris song: About A Stranger
