  1. What a great weekend. It was nice meeting up with a few of you, however briefly, and my wife and I had a great time hanging with Knotgreen and his lovely girlfriend on Sunday. Some musical highlights: Tweedy (obviously) Gregory Alan Isakov (absolutely sublime) The Milk Carton Kids Shovels and Rope Benjamin Booker (saw half of his set before heading to see S&R) The Lonesome Trio (a pleasant surprise) Unfortunately we had to make some tough choices and miss a few acts.
  2. You're lucky. At least we got to hear him. I kept an eye out for a photographer with a metal shirt on, but didn't see you. Hope you had as much fun as I did.
  3. HMD! That was it. I must've missed We've been had. Were you in there?
  4. He played a quick set at the Museum Stage. Very small room, and as soon as word got out it was full. We listened through the window. It was (not in order): Passenger Side, IATTBYH, Hummingbird, Acuff Rose, and one more that I can't remember right now. His proper set was fantastic. Mavis joined him for a couple.
  5. Kind of frustrating, the "Buy" button didn't appear for several minutes. When it finally did, the floor seats were nothing special, so I went with Mezzanine. Row E, close to center. Never been to this venue, but the pictures look nice.
  6. I spoke to her earlier - she's driving. Yeah, everyone's gonna get together. I think the plan is just to text once we get there. See you Saturday!
  7. I've been waiting for this one since the Ryman recording. Great song.
  8. I'm in southeastern Connecticut. It's a bit of a hike for a weeknight, but such is my sickness. I called the venue. Tickets go on sale Friday @ 10am.
  9. Does anyone have the pre-sale code for this?
  10. I recorded it. The quality isn't nearly as good as The Ryman - the webcast volume was really low. I think it's worth having, though. I'll send you a DropBox link tonight.
  11. There's certainly no need to apologize! I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say thank you for the effort.
  12. That one works for me. Thanks!! Not sure what's up with Dime. I can't get anything. UTorrent still works fine on other sites (bt.etree, Pirate Bay, etc) so it seems to be Dime-specific.
  13. I'd appreciate a DropBox link too. I'm having trouble with Dime - 86 seeders but I'm getting hung up "finding peers". Thanks for doing this, Col.
  14. Might I get a copy of that? I usually do it myself, but won't be home this time.
  15. It is a union thing. The Bushnell in Hartford, for instance, wanted something like $9,000. Ridiculous and unfortunate.
  16. Yeah, there are going to be some tough choices. Almost every band I want to see conflicts with another.I downloaded the app too. Should be very helpful.
  17. The schedule's up. Tweedy will have 65 minutes. I'm kinda bummed - I know it's a festival, but I was hoping for a bit longer than that. I'm sure Jeff will be doing some sort of collaboration with Mavis too though, so there's that.
  18. A politician having a fundraiser?! WTF? Why doesn't he just ask the Koch brothers for money like all those bootstrappy republicans?
  19. Totally! If I can't appreciate and immediately fall in love with new material after hearing audience recordings of a new ensemble's first few shows, that's it for me. ... Or we could just wait to hear the album when it's released. Two months from now.
  20. It's the song that matters to me, and I love it. I generally don't care about videos.
  21. Yeah, I wish they'd have worked the 180g into one of the bundles, but oh well. I went with the colored vinyl/t-shirt. There are some cool prizes in the contest.
