How do you read the chat session? Is it on the same NPR page? I'm not seeing it. -

Any news released by the band? I just caught the end, to hear that NPR is broadcasting Sunday's show (I think that's what he said) and that they will be doing a Tiny Desk concert. Anything else I missed? Looks like 3 of us posted this news simultaneously! -

Right now I'm with a group of 8, so I made us a separate reservation at Jacob Wirth. I will look for the VC gang there (though I don't know who I'm looking for, I'm thinking it will be self evident). -
I definitely wont' give you "crap" for that, but the Boston "Evening With" show clocked in around 3 hours 15 minutes, and I could have stayed for another 3 hours!

I don't think any of those songs should be skipped. For the couple of time a year I get to see Wilco live, I want to hear all of those, and so many others. What I would like to see happen is for Wilco to ditch having an opener, and for all shows to be "An Evening With." After 16 years, they've got the live repertoire to fill an evening. They should go the route of the Dead, Phish, Allmans, Furthur and drop having opening acts. Of course, easy for me to say. I know in the Ashes DVD they show what a physical toll the live shows put on Nels and Glenn, so maybe they can't physically do it, bu

For those of us who will be seeing Nick Lowe opening on this tour, and for anyone else generally interested in what Nick's up to these days, nice piece on him in today's NY Times: \ http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/14/arts/music/nick-lowe-back-with-a-new-album-that-old-magic.html?_r=1&ref=music

Show starts at 8:00, with Nick Lowe opening. Show ends at 11:00. Doesn't leave enough time for Wilco. A less than 2 hour set. Damn. -
Having these lines without reference to the specific song is like a treasure hunt.

I don't mind the tweeters. They don't interfere with my space. What I do mind is the cell phone picture/video takers. This summer at MMJ, I stood behind a guy who held his phone up in the air for good portions of the show taking video. I found myself watching the band through the 4 inches of his screen. Ugh! Now cut that out. If someone wants to tweet the setlist in real time, I have no problem with that. I see that others here don't get it, but I've often followed a live action setlist for shows I'm not at. My wife doesn't get it either, but I think its kind of fun.
