I can't think of a single Brent written tune I wanted to hear live. Ever.

Jason Isbell. First time for me, very psyched.
-
I was "off the bus" and didn't see or listen to the Dead at all from '81 until 9/87. I' have no regrets about missing those years. I don't think I missed anything, despite all the suggestions I've received over the years to particular shows of this era.

Yeah, same when the played Lockn' 2 years ago. People were bitching all over the place. Post festival, I noticed some converts on the forum.

Jason Isbell on Colbert last night http://www.stereogum.com/1862092/watch-jason-isbell-sing-if-it-takes-a-lifetime-on-colbert/video/?utm_source=sc-fb&utm_medium=ref&utm_campaign Anyone who was at the Beacon last night recall the set times?

Were Shovels and Rope also on the bill? If so, how long did they play?

Hope you had a great time http://www.jambase.com/article/widespread-panic-plays-several-rare-covers-in-norfolk

I'm a big fan, but also acknowledge his discography can be spotty. If you are not familiar, at least check out Rumour and Sigh, Shoot Out the Lights (with Linda Thompson) and Live from Austin (solo acoustic). '52 Vincent Black Lightning is his Impossible Germany: a fantastic song (GREAT guitar playing) that I've heard a million times and always think I'm going to be bored when he plays it again but I never am. Back to the topic, is this new album Tweedy spoke of from the Star Wars sessions?

SiriusXM is fine for my car or when I'm at the office and just listening background. Would never listen to it at home through my system. But then again, at home I don't listen to any of those streaming services like Sonos, Spotify, etc. I still like having physical media, vinyl and discs, with the artwork and track by track info. I'm surprised Sirius doesn't have a dedicated Phish channel. I'm sure Mr. Tinnitus would be the first to get that on his presets and then give up on Jonathan Schwartz's Gone Phishing show on JamOn.

We watched the Steve Jobs movie yesterday. Didn't Apatow write that? I thought he did, and had my ears perked for a Wilco tune somewhere during the movie but never heard one.

I'm not camping anymore. First time we stayed at a hotel in Lynchburg ( or wherever Falwell's Liberty University is), last year we stayed in a bnb about 5 miles from the site, which was definitely much better. I don't remember the name, I assume they are booked by now. I can research and get you the name if interested. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I don't take it as a personal insult. I just think it's a bogus stereotype and doesn't comport with my experience over the last 40+ years. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Well, maybe you have a point

Of course the Deadhead references make no sense. I could mount a response but ultimately not worth the effort.

I had already decided I wasn't going to Lockn' this year after going the last 2. Love that festival, if anyone's on the fence, go for it.

Love a Spanish Jam

The lines between the categories are very fuzzy to me. I don't get Wilco or Alabama Shakes in the "alternative" category. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

That is correct. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I was at that Lou/New York show. That was great. Somehow I missed the HD/Warehouse show. Pretty sure I saw the Allmans do Eat A Peach at their last Orpheum run, a little fuzzy on that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Yes I see it did

It already happened???

Wilco on CBS Saturday Morning Saturday Sessions
worldrecordplayer replied to Magnetized's topic in Just A Fan
Watching Glenn on RNG this morning was yet another reminder why he's my favorite rock drummer (along with Russo). -
I recently discovered a new way at the HOB. I was there for Lettuce, we had seats upstairs in the lower boxes. When we entered through that door, we checked our coats right there. Unbeknownst to me at the time, at some point after everyone was in, they move the coats to the large coat check at the main entrance. So when we left, they sent us onto the GA floor to get to coat check. So we spent some time hanging by the sound board. So if you're upstairs and want to get down, just go "claim" your coat early!

Wilco -- 2/9/16, Norfolk, VA (The NorVa)
worldrecordplayer replied to Magnetized's topic in After The Show
That poster is freakin awesome! There have been zillions of great Wilco posters (too bad for me I didn't like the ones for the Boston shows), but this one is something special. -
Did everyone see this about The National curated GD tribute album? http://viachicago.org/topic/51508-the-nationals-grateful-dead-tribute-lp-includes-wilcoweir-live-collaboration/ Holy crap, that looks great.
