Thanks for posting that. I'm going to see them on Saturday.

I am still not sure why I find that skit so funny but I do. I showed it to three people in my office (who are normally pretty funny) and none of them liked it.

Downloaded it this weekend (from emusic) and I dig it.

You mean that thing the Wonder Twins do?

I like this: "the philanthropic base-running of Vladimir Guerrero." It was a nice play by Youklis and some bad base-running by Vlad.

I saw Graham play a couple of weeks ago. He played solo and then Mike Gent (from the Figgs and who has played on some of Parker's albums) came out and they played a bunch of stuff together. It was really good.

He's an LA guy (although I don't think he's from there originally). All of his kids are musicians, too. His daughter Petra was in the Decemberists and also recorded an a capella version of the Who Sells Out. One of his other daughters is married to Jack Black.

The other day I heard Charlie Haden and Jack Black on Fresh Air talking about this album. Jack Black said that as a family member he was waiting for Charlie Haden to ask him to sing on the album. Haden had recorded Old Joe Clark as an instrumental but after talking with Jack Black they put the words to it. They played a clip and it actually sounded OK.

Great album. "Not as good as Atomizer, so don't get your hopes up, cheese."

Pat Riley trademarked the phrase when he was with the Lakers (although the Lakers never three-peated under his watch).

That one is certainly up there.

Just started this last night.

That's a great movie - and a great book. Oddly enough, when I first heard that he died Nobody's Fool and Empire Falls were the first two movies I thought of.

Yup - that's what I've got. I did pick up the reissue of Tim because I only have it on vinyl. And the added stuff is pretty sweet ...

The new one? If so, how are the extras? If not, well, whatever, never mind.

Getting back to the list, why is there no #8? -
When I was growing up my dentist was in Kenmore Square and you could see the Citgo sign from the dentist chair.

Nice choice. I'm going to put this on right now.

Bob Mould in Husker Du's cover of Eight Miles High. He basically screams an entire verse towards the end of the song.
