That is true. I used to drive 35-40 minutes each way to work and I would listen to talk radio (and sports radio) some of the time. And I would get unfuriated at certain hosts but also curious as to what they would say about certain topics. About two years ago I started taking public transportation and now I find that I don't miss those radio folks at all.

Saw him play last weekend and it was quite good. It's not the Feelies but it was pretty enjoyable. I talked with him before the show and he said the Feelies are rehearsing these days. They have a couple of shows scheduled (at Maxwell's and the 4th of JUly show) and hope to play in Boston and Chicago in the fall.

Now we know who to blame ... It's pretty cool that Varitek has now caught four no hitters.

That is correct. And their city news (Boston proper) is also better than the Globe's. It is certainly more sensational but they cover the neighborhoods of the city much more thoroughly. I suppose it is happening to newspapers all over but it is amazing (and discouraging) to see the talent that has left the Globe in the last 18 months.

I don't think I have ever seen my son laugh so hard as when he watched that scene.

Yup - I wasn't all that clear with my pronouns. I agree with you. I liked Little Children but Abstinence Teacher feels like he had a deadline to meet. I just read Perrotta's The Wishbones, which was pretty good.

I'm a big Perrotta fan but this didn't do much for me. It felt a little dashed off.

I hope people grabbed what they could: "Due to events outside of our control, we no longer carry the Rolling Stones catalogue on eMusic. We are sorry to see it go, but hope to get them back in the future. Thanks for your understanding." As for me, I was waiting until next month ...

I think the danger is that it becomes Mad About You.

Woman accused of plowing car into group after argument, killing one -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Associated Press NASHUA, N.H. -- A woman accused of running down a man in her car after a Red Sox-Yankees argument in a bar never hit her brakes as she accelerated toward the small group he was in, a prosecutor said Monday.
