^^^^ Reminds me of this series of books:

Dice-K threw 116 pitches in 5 innings, and only 62 were strikes. But he got the win ...

And now that it is good, they will ruin it with a spin-off: "NBC presented its fall schedule to advertisers Wednesday, and these are the main bits of news from that upfront presentation:

He does. Unfortunately for the Brewers, Gagne does not. I saw on ESPN that Gagne has only 10 blown saves in his career coming into this season. It seemed to me like he blew 10 saves last year alone.

Julio Lugo has really been clicking so far. If by clicking you mean not being able to throw to first ....

I'm surprised that no one has started a thread

I had the opposite experience in high school. There was a history teacher who was really into martial arts. He used to say things to our class like "if all of you attacked me right now you would eventually win, but the first dozen of you would be really badly hurt." -

It's a good one. There's no "Carry Me Ohio" but it's still pretty damn good. In fact, I think I'll listen to it on my way home ...

I just saw it in Newbury Comics (a New England chain with about 25 stores).

That's the truth. A couple of months ago NESN (the Red Sox cable channel) showed the 1999 game where Pedro struck out 17 Yankees. It was still pretty compelling to watch. What struck me was how fooled most of the batters were. He had such a variety of pitches and he threw them all for strikes.

Dinosaur Jr Headlining Pitchfork Night 3!
Oil Can Boyd replied to Degenerex's topic in Someone Else's Song
I would put Dino Jr. and a Bob Mould show (maybe his second tour, post-Huskers, pre-Sugar) as the loudest I have ever seen/heard. -
Don't recall seeing this mentioned but how about The Night Chicago Died by Paper Lace.

Probably mentioned Burks because the original article was in the Boston Globe.

Brooklyn Vegan (and others) reporting that the Feelies will be playing some shows this summer, including opening for Sonic Youth in Central Park. Man, I would travel to see that ... Brooklyn Vegan
