  1. It's possible that jayfarrar's web people were not paying attention and let it lapse.
  2. Tomorrow's 9:30 show will be the first time I have not attempted to buy tickets to see Wilco when possible. I saw them in Chicago this year and thought that was enough. I have seen them lots of times but I am tiring of their show and haven't fell completely in love with their new stuff. For those who are bored, try something else. I went to an MWard concert this year and he played a little more than an hour including the break between the sets. So be thankful that Wilco is still willing to get up there for 2 hour shows everytime.
  3. When using Firefox I send them, but I never send them to Microsoft. For as much as they are charging for software they can do their own f'in debugging.
  4. I've been using it a couple of years now and love FF.
  5. Sorry to bump but looking for someone here who might know.
  6. Has anyone here ever used www.musiciansbuy.com? I'm wondering because the site looks ok but I just wanted to know if it is legit. There is a Godin A6 that I want which is really hard to find:
  7. --> QUOTE(Paul B @ Oct 11 2006, 04:24 PM) Just so's ya know................Tower Records was purchased over the weekend and is being liquidated. Everything must go. 10% discount on CDs right now. I'm assuming that as stock gets stale, the discount will rise. I picked up a live Taj Mahal disc and the Kinks hillbillys disc at the Wabash store. Plenty of stuff left. They left Annapolis about 6 months ago because their lease was up and rent increased by 100%. They were way too expensive for me anyway.
  8. I was spanked and turned out alright. I have 3 kids. One kid completely responds to it, another responds to the mere threat of a spanking and the other well... we still haven't figured him out. Even if you do spank your kids it should be done sparingly. Spare the rod, spoil the child. Also, for those of you who don't have kids and say you won't spank them, we'll see when you do have kids and they are testing you all day long, every day.
  9. This by far is the best new material (IMHO). This is the kind of song that can just grow and change however they want to in the studio. Sounds awesome live too!
  10. This thread needs a montage.
  11. Derek - this sounds awesome. It sounds some much more "grown up" (in a good way) compared to your other albums. It's nice to see you guys are really, really progressing. This album is a keeper and will put you on the map if you already are not.
  12. You're right. And I posted fully knowing that I was breaking with at least a couple of the Ten Commandments of Lost: The ten commandments of Lost: 1. Thou shalt not share information, lest answers be had. - Examples of enforcement: no one discussing the whispers, Hurley not telling anyone about the numbers, Jack seeing his father, Locke seeing 'the monster', Locke and Boone not mentioning the hatch, Sayid's failure to mention the cable, Michael, Jin, and Sawyer's complete failure to tell anyone about the Others on the boat - Examples of this law being broken: Shannon telling Sayid that sh
  13. He didn't ask the most elementary things like: - can I see the book you are holding? - If you got the information, that means you have some form of communication with the rest of the world. How did you get it? - Where did it come from. I thought this was weak.
  14. Let's hope they don't HBO it and screw it up.
  15. I'm with you on this. But has the press ever been so willing to roll over and play dead? Let's face it, 98% of what the press covers is friendly PR "news" designed to sell you something/anything. As for the other 2% of news, most people in this country don't pay attention. So what do they care if the Bush Administration is trying it's best to clear a path for complete totalitarian state? Unfortunately the free press has been out to lunch (wined and dined by corporations) for a long time and if anyone could shine a light on what is truly happening, they could. But they don't because the
  16. I love this time of year: Yankees and some Sam Adam's OctoberFest beer. But this year I will probably drink a lot more New Castle since I think their quality has returned to previous years after a slump. I love that the Yankees are there every year too.
  17. The 70's were great. I was born in 75 and my parents were really into cool music so my musical awakening began in the 70's. There's no doubt that the 70's were better than the 80's, 90's and probably even today. -- especially in the popular music sense.
  18. The crazy thing about the lapdog press is that politicians and celeb's handlers set ground rules and the press follows them. I know that the subject matter was a tough one and I think that Clinton handled it well, but I'm sure that he was pissed that he was "ambushed" by this line of questioning. It's a shame but the press is not in control most of the time.
  19. It's almost as scary as this document and the list of names that signed: "Statement of Principles" for the Project for the New American Century p.s. I think Clinton is a smart guy and he had a right to defend himself against Fox News.
  20. From what I have seen/read about the Iraq's Weapons of Mass Destruction Programs - Oct 2002, this document was the justification that was ultimately used to go to war and the document itself was oversaw by Cheney and Rumsfeld themselves to make sure it said what they wanted.
  21. iTunes, MTV Call it Quits! Two decades after destroying the album format pioneered by the Beatles and other great 60's and 70's bands, MTV and iTunes are going to be closing their proverbial doors this month. Since MTV (owned by Warner) first broadcasted its single-based music video format on August 1st, 1981, the recorded music industry has been in a tailspin has been critisized as being a one-trick pony. "And rightfully so," says one Warner record company mid-level executive who wished to remain anonymous. "There's one directive from the top: sign someone who looks good, record the hit,
  22. True story: I peed for my cousin once and he put it in a Elmer's glue bottle and attached a tube to it. Then he put it in his shoe and ran the tube up his leg. Then he walked on crutches to his test. Of course if he didn't pass his test he was probably going to go to jail.
  23. What is that guy looking at? He's not looking at the video game and he's not looking at her boobs. What's wrong with that guy?
  24. There is a really cool ethiopian place right down the street from the 9:30 club called Solome. We always go there for drinks and a small bite to eat before the show. The lady and son who own the place are always really nice and remember us everytime we go in there. We always end up getting some free food or drinks. Just a tip.
