  1. They were all there the other week - and had a band outing to the Blackhawks game (minus Pat who was in town but must have had other evening plans) - which one can piece together from their various instagram accounts.
  2. I thought I remembered that. Please cross post with the Various Wilco Demos, Downloads, Etc. thread. Thank you.
  3. They immediately added a 2nd show in Chicago and both sold out. Underestimated their right venue size maybe?
  4. Shake it Off - mainly for the repetitive nature of the chorus. The Tweedy machine is wisely playing up the song 'Warm' on social this week. Hope they are selling some hats and scarfs.
  5. Nels in Berkeley next week. February 02: Nels Cline performs with Dave Harrington's Merry Pranksters at Threes Brewing in Brooklyn 04: Nels Cline performs as part of "Scott Amendola's 50th Birthday Thing" at Freight & Salvage in Berkeley 07: Glenn Kotche alongside Ate9 Dance Company perform calling glenn at the Northrup Auditorium in Minneapolis 07: Nels Cline 4 at Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix 08: Nels Cline 4 at Outpost Performance Space in Albuquerque 09: Nels Cline 4 at Ophelia's Electric Soapbox in Denver 11: Nels Cline 4 at The State Room in Salt Lake City
  6. The shows are listed on wilcoworld which hasn't always happened (in my recollection)...and...you can request a song there...
  7. their first album had a couple great great songs. A real bummer when subsequent music came out.
  8. Yes! Also, their hats at merch booth just say 'Bad Bad' which I thought was well done. Great songs. So so live. Seeing them open for the Beths in a couple months...
  9. If the brothers were smart, they'd use the publicity surrounding the publication as an opportunity to put out more previously unreleased material. It's hard to imagine that actually happening, but it is sad knowing how many likely songs there are out there that may never see the light of day...
  10. Yes! See you there. It's as close as we can get to Lounge Axe these days...
  11. Per a post on Lincoln Hall's Instagram, at the event "each artist will be covering some of their favorite love songs"
  12. How is this not sold out after more than 24 hours on sale??
  13. Great news on the Lincoln Hall show. Jeff does so much for so many good causes. Updated full list includes Jeff's spring tour + a Nels show in PA + second Ray/John shows in Melbourne & Sydney February 02: Nels Cline performs with Dave Harrington's Merry Pranksters at Threes Brewing in Brooklyn 07: Glenn Kotche alongside Ate9 Dance Company perform calling glenn at the Northrup Auditorium in Minneapolis 07: Nels Cline 4 at Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix 08: Nels Cline 4 at Outpost Performance Space in Albuquerque 09: Nels Cline 4 at Ophelia's Electric Soapbox in Denver 11: Nels Cl
  14. Ryley Walker, Ohmme at Empty Bottle
  15. A recording of this event is featured as the latest episode of the Talkhouse Podcast. As mentioned in early posts, unfortunately, it truly wasn't moderated very well.
  16. Bummer. I haven't seen them in ages, but the shows I went to were the opposite of boring. Fun idea for a thread too. My worst was Titus Andronicus (Duo) - just awful. I kept waiting another song before giving up, but ended up giving up and going home.
  17. If it is any consolation, I live in Chicago, and I didn't get to but wanted to see that Sloan show.
  18. Antarctigo Vespucci at Bottom Lounge The Beths at Beat Kitchen A Giant Dog at Empty Bottle Parquet Courts/ Dream Wife at Thalia Hall Collective Soul/ Soul Asylum at Northernly Island David Byrne at Auditorium Courtney Barnett at Cultural Center Ron Gallo/The Nude Party at Barracuda Margaret Glaspy (with Julian lage) at SPACE Lucius at Thalia Hall
  19. Yes, easily 3-4 episodes too long. Started out so strong. Cashing in on popularity. The Jinx? Fictional thought, right? Gruesome too?
  20. Not sure when, but Wilco added a second show in Amsterdam at Paradiso - June 15.
  21. Congrats! Hellofayear! I hope your 2nd year post lexmark is just as eventful!
  22. I did make it. Great show from the front section at the Vic and just about a person outside the mosh pit circle. They do a really nice job with the setlist flow. Austin Brown does a lot more dancing in 2018 than when I saw them in the Light Up Gold era. That's a good thing. How A. Savage's voice doesn't give out nightly will never cease to amaze. On at 8:45 off stage at 10:15, 21 songs later.
  23. "Scan Wilco's audience"..."and you'll see"..."the saddest fist-pumps in rock music" Ouch!! I'm offended.
